My sound has now not been working for ages and ages, and I do not have a clue why.

Everythign is plugged in correctly, etc but under control panel > Sounds and Audio Devices, it still says 'No Audio Device'.

When I try to play something in Windows Media Player, again it says ' Cannot play back the audio stream, no audio hardware is available, or the hardware is not responding'.

Please please please does anyone know what's wrong, because I NEED my music???

Do you have a seperate sound card or onboard sound?

You don't need to reinstall windows because of the sound not working. It simply is uninstalled and needs reinstalling.

Come to think of it i did. but I was also fiddling with other things not so long ago so thinked I facked it up myself.
