There hasn't been a spaceworld since the Mario Sunshine/Wind Waker announcement. So the reply from a slew of forum users who will remain nameless declared "There has not been a Spaceworld in years, admit it Nintendo have screwed up". "Don't be so optimistic Dringo" and so forth.
Now both Miyamoto and Kaplin has confirmed that Spaceworld is certainly on the cards and Iwata has declared all the revolution info will be released by the end of the year.
And after hardcore reaction it seems almost essential.
I have to admit, that the new Nintendo console looks the best out of all of the rivals, and that makes a change!

That's the thing, though - It won't necessarily have that. The Times ran a main-section report on E3, but they wouldn't run one on Spaceworld, I gaurantee you that. E3 makes the mainstream newspapers because it has LOTS of news to report. Any Ninendo only show won't have that same volume of news or impact, so it won't be as newsworthy. You'll get the stuff in the specialist press, of course - but who reads the specialist press? I'm sure I don't need to explain that.
I see what you're saying and yes I understand that Nintendo want to have the Revolution separate from the other two, and that is one method, and I'm not saying it won't work. They have gone the wrong way about it, though. They didn't completely have a "no-show", they showed a half hearted attempt which seems to be half saying they wanted to compete and half saying they didn't. What we ended up with was a disappointment - and the fact that they've disappointed so many people clearly shows that it was a bad move.

*yawn*
You're almost as bad as Hedfix at this.

No, Spaceworld does appear in the main press. I can guarentee that.

Or it could envoke interest and discussion?
I realise that there's still time, but now Nintendo have to heal the wounds that they've created, instead of just causing people joy.
I don't want to download the whole back catalogue of NES and SNES games, and I don't think casual players do either. Chances are I'll make about 2 uses of this feature the entire time I have it.
I want new Nintendo franchises with new original gameplay just like all the Mario games I've played over the years, and Zelda, and Mario Kart. And I don't think Nintendo needed a new system, only 2 - 3 times more powerful than Cube, to do this. Unless this new controller is something unthinkably amazing, I can't see Revolution doing what I want it to do.
And they talk about power not being worth much, but it is, okay? It adds to the atmosphere of the game, and can open new doors. 64 player Perfect Dark online, anyone?
