The "General Games Chat" forum, which includes Retro Game Reviews, has been archived and is now read-only. You cannot post here or create a new thread or review on this forum.
There hasn't been a spaceworld since the Mario Sunshine/Wind Waker announcement. So the reply from a slew of forum users who will remain nameless declared "There has not been a Spaceworld in years, admit it Nintendo have screwed up". "Don't be so optimistic Dringo" and so forth.
Now both Miyamoto and Kaplin has confirmed that Spaceworld is certainly on the cards and Iwata has declared all the revolution info will be released by the end of the year.
And after hardcore reaction it seems almost essential.
I have to admit, that the new Nintendo console looks the best out of all of the rivals, and that makes a change!
Some people dont care
Some people do care
I still dont see how arguing/discussing what ever makes a difference cause you only have your own opinion to it...and i dont think anyone here is better than anyone else so everyones opinion is equal.

But they'll see it and think "Nintendo, their games alst time were all for kids, it'll be like this again"
The Revolution was going to be written off no matter what support it got.
It might attract a few more people if less "kiddy games" appear, but it'll be the N6 or N7 before the actual benefits of that would be reaped.

Casual gmaers DIDN'T have a loyaly to any one console, but most have a "basic" knowledge of games, and I use teh term knowledge loosly, as I actually mean "Oh, Microsoft, they make PC's (and i know they don't, but that's what people think), that's for geeks", "Aha, Nintendo, that's for kiddies"
The X-box has pretty much every singel game that the PS2 has + it's exclusives, but it still trails the PS2 in sales every week by a huge difference, and it doesn't even have the tag of being for "kiddies".

Then why all the insults directed towards me? When you agree with what I'm saying? Why call me a moron when you agree with what I'm saying?

Well if the Revolution has more games that they want than the other 2 consoles of course they'd buy it.
Casual gamers think "GC that's for kids" because they see kids games on the GC. If the Revolution doesn't have kids games, they won't say it, will they?
People buy whatever appeals to them most. Casual gamers don't havbe any company loyalty - they buy the games that appeal to them. If the Revolution has more games that appeal to casual gamers then people will buy the console, it's easy. Yeah at first people will think "Oh Nintendo's fir kids" because of what they've seen, but it's only Nintendo's games that give off this image. If there were more "mature" games on the Revolution, coupled with its sleek design, then why would people think it was "for kids"?
You say its awful how Nintendo fans are going mad, like mattribute "RIP NINTENDO". Well surely this conflicts with your other point that it doesn't matter at all and you don't care? You will when these people choose another console over Revolution and Nintendo lose business due to this.

But even if Nintendo did do something, the fact is, no-one cares. The screwups caused by the N64 and GC have already drilled the idea that the Gamecube is for kiddies into the back of the minds of all casual gamers.
The no-show has caused a buzz among peoplewho know about stuff, and has probably intruiged more people than the other two consoles.
But reading a newspaper, even if Ninty's show had been the most amazing show ever, most casual gamers would have just read the title and thought, "Oh, Nintendo, I'll skip this page"
It'd probably take about 3 generations of the exact opposite to get that idea out of people's heads.
People weren't going to look at the Revolution and think "Oh wow, this looks so new and cool? Oh that console they made that's still out that's all for kids will be nothing like this one of course, this new one will be so much better", they'll look at it and think "Oh, that looks pretty sleek and cool, but it'll probably be crappy like that Gamebox or whatever it's called"

What, you mean like on the PS2 and X-Box?
Because erm, let's list all the great games that they'll be getting in teh next year:
...
...
...
Oh, Pro Evo, but that's it.
It'll no doubt be like that next generation too.

Third party cooperation isn't going to bring new customers to Nintendo. People are going to stick with Sony or whatever if they can still get Pro Evo etc. They're not suddenly going to think "Oh cool, my favourite game is on this console, I'll get this console instead of the PS3 because I can get the games I like on this console"

I understand what you're saying, I'm not denying it.
I'm criticising any Nintendo fans getting upity due to a poor showing. I can't go around everywhere and criticise everyone. I'll settle for this forum and I hope Dringo's all around the internet will do the same for their department.

get into into your head and stop insulting me when you don't even understand what I'm saying.
