So the machines are farming humans for the energy right?
Ok, Neo and Trinity fly above the cloud layer, and its bright and sunny.
Are the machines so naff that they can't build structures above this cloud layer and use solar energy? I mean, Its only a couple of 100 feet from the ground.
BAH! STUPID FILM! >:( >:(

Therefore I was correct????

No, I was. You speak in terms of the purest folly.
So the war ends. There is peace between humans and machines. Are the machines still going to harvest humans energy? Not very peaceful to me.
As I said, I may have missed something about it in the movie, but can someone clear it up for me?

Well I can see this is going to go nowhere. You have your opinion, and I have mine.
I'm not talking about real skyscrapers, but the idea that fictional machines would be able to build above the cloud level and thus solve the whole problem of farming humans.
As far as I'm concerned, it’s a stupid error, and really badly thought out by the W brothers for the sake of Trinity saying “Its beautiful” before she gets kebabed.

Yep.

But the Architect says anyone that wants out of the matrix will be freed. So what about in the first where Morpheus tells Neo they only free young minds from the matrix, as older ones cannot handle the change. What happens to these people? Do they stay ignorant? Are they told?
1st Film - Classic
2nd - Entertaining
3th - Poor IMHO.
Criminal.

The people who wanted to be released from the matrix would be freed no questions asked. The fact that being in the matrix is better than being in the real world would probably crush the spirit of those released however.

Wasn't it the other way round? Only free Old, because Young couldn't handle it?
Also, How the hell is anyone going to know they are in the matrix without Morpheus and co. telling them? Are they going to put it on the news?
*News just in. You are all slaves to machines, placed in this virtual world to regulate you bodies so we can harvest your energy for our own benefit. But if you want out, just call 1-800 FREE-ME*
*Gets sucked into the handset*

To be honest, I would probably want to stay in, as long as they program ME with kung fu powers and teach me how to bend the rules!
I'm sorry, but it's just not feasible to build something that tall!
As for the end of the Matrix, the humans will all get released and replaced with a giant chicken battery (see how I did that?) farm.
