Possibly the worst film I've ever seen at the cinema. Its script doesn't hold together, the narrrative and structure is terrible and the best characters don't even feature that heavily.
I didn't think it was possible for a film to be so coherantly bad, yet this one manages to collect itself into small pieces of crap before ending in a blatent and unspectacular manner. I wish they hadn't made the sequels, the first was so good.
Try and argue that this film was good? I'll let you pass.
Try and argue that this film was great? Your an idiot who knows nothing and likes seeing repetitive rubbish that you cannot understand or follow. It made no sense and argh... I can't go on.
I gave it a chance, I thought I'd actually be quite good. Urgh.
I was shocked. I was amazed.

Go and have a look, I do put that I wanted to enjoy it. I look forward to you gritting your teeth after watching Revolutions and still saying its good. My opinion on this film is perfect, its a terrible film. Oh, and don't worry, when I have my degrees and awards in film I'll parade it.
Weren't you disappointed by the poor plot, weak action scenes excluding the Zion attack, cliched characters.....?

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
Sorry, I forgot.
You're taking it at college.
Forgive me Mr Welles.
> I actually find the rest of your comment rather patronising,
That was the point you weenie.
Just as your "if you try and tell me" like you're Truffaut. Don't preen like some important film critic and tell me I don't watch or understand films simply because you say so.
Been there, done it and bought the t-shirt.
>I'm a film student yes, however I do have taste and I like to enjoy films.
And that's fine.
Not liking a movie is your call, it's your oh-so-superior "I know best" attitude that marks you as a cliched film-student. Get yourself S.G.A certified before you start lording it around talking about plot lines.
You ass.

No, you didn't. I'll pop your posts where you scream and scream about Reloaded and how crap Revolutions will be.
Best bit was during a close up of Morpheus, my friend is trying to look at her watch and says "If he was white I'd be able to see what time it is." Made me laugh quite a bit.

Uh-huh. I was looking at my watch for a lot of the Zion scene thinking "Come on, get into the Matrix, I wanna see rain, Neo, and lots of Smiths all having a bundle!"
And it didn't happen for ages....and ages. And when it did it was pretty rubbish. Punch punch punch zoom away. Punch kick punch zoom away. Punch punch punch etc.
Bring on LoTR
"I didn't like it - and this is from someone who loved Reloaded. I just can't put my finger on it at the moment, but the end was nowhere near as good as I'd anticipated, and the final Neo/Smith confrontation fell way short of even their first subway fight."
That sums me up completely.
It's the end of the freakin' Matrix trilogy - all through it I was thinking "Well, this is the final film, there's got to be SOMETHING good at the end."
I was wrong.
I went from expecting the best fight scene in any film - ever - to readying myself for disappointment.
Plot? Neo is stuck somewhere. Oh, wait, five minutes and he's out. No daring rescue, no cool fights, just the French bloke wetting himself and letting Trinity get him. OK, so if he's out of there, maybe he's stuck... in the matrix itself. He said himself "I can't leave this place."
Wait, five minutes later he was out... and had gone from the table in the med lab to one of the chairs.

Ah, finally. Neo goes off to save the world. Big fight with the sentinels (the film's only good moment) and Neo goes back into the matrix. Fights Smith in quite possibly one of the quickest and most boring fight scenes I've ever seen, then... well, it's strange. He's dead, but might come back. All the hippies in Zion dance. The end.
Pft.
I loved the first, the second entertained me (which is what films are meant to do) but this... was just pants. I can think of three action scenes (guys on the ceiling, sentinels, Neo/Smith) and that's it. These scenes probably took up about half an hour/45 minutes. The film was over two hours long.
Luke vs Vader in Jedi was great. It was built up. Luke had lost the first time they fought. It was a struggle to win, but he did it, and didn't fall to the dark side.
Here, Neo went in, beat somebody he'd beaten at least twice (and one of those times there were dozens of Smiths) and that was the end. I say again - pft.
As soon as I get it back from Wal's brother Mark, I'm re-watching The Matrix for about the 20th time, then I'll buy Reloaded and pretend Revolutions never happened.

I actually find the rest of your comment rather patronising, I'm a film student yes, however I do have taste and I like to enjoy films. Yet this Matrix film was badly put together (apart from the zion scene). The film was completely stupid and I don't even think the characters (judging by the bad acting) had a clue as to what the final production was going to be like. I did actually go in wanting to enjoy the film. Yet it was too muddled for any good.
Favorite 5 films of the moment?
In no particular order. Donnie Darko, Finding Nemo, Ronin, Ichi the Killer and Taxi.
