Yes I agree... Finding Nemo is amazing.
But not the film of the year... oh no.
And Yes Lucas is shooting extra scenes with Natalie Portman for various flashback scenes for the later films.

Its a superb pixar film. Its a superb film, forget who made it for a second and appreciate its pure quality.
Kids see it and it taps into the father - son relationship.

I think the point some people (like Totoro) is trying to put across, is the fact that people immediatly brandish anime as 'dragon touching girl rape films' as soon as it's mentioned.
Only a selection of anime is like that, I've never seen any of the stuff, but I know it's there, and I refuse to watch it. You know why? Because I know it won't entertain me. Things that I don't like/have interest in (like football) I don't view. What Bane is saying is, this 'demon' rape is funny because its unrealistic, you don't see demons etc in real life strolling the streets do you? It's a cartoon, Escapism from real life. I'm not saying watching scenes of rape is good entertainment, but for some people it's just general humour.
Anime is excellent because it's beyond western cartoon's/realism, Intricate plots with beautifully drawn characters, weapons and futuristic city's, anime films are bizarre, but brilliantly done. Western cartoons need to really take a hint out of the Japanese's book because it just cannot be beaten.
I think this arguement has been blown way out of proportion, and monkey_man's comment about hollyoaks was so randomly placed it was funny.

Also, (was it from a mini documentry from the Animatrix dvd?) they talk about the Japanese basically letting go with regards their modern culture.
They've had centuries of strict codes and traditions to live by, but from what you can see in anime, manga, rocks music, films, fashion etc, the Japanese in recent times have just had a new culture overload, and have taken many sections to the extreme.
When you see things on tv about modern Japanese youths, they're not just your typical kids we'd imagine, they have crazy fashion, 80's style haircuts, many girls walk around with bleached blonde hair and orange tans etc.
And how about those crazy Japanese gameshows we laugh about. not too many years ago they would never have existed in old Japan.

My colleague has returned from Tokyo, and she said it was the most polite, well ordered city she has ever been to.
The Japanese would appear to respect tradition, morals and courtesy instead of this Western free-for-all that we have (I'm talking on the whole)
They produce all manner of entertainment, from Pokemon to Hentai, and there is something for everyone.
And my point still stands - I don't enjoy anime, in whatever shape of form, so I decide to not watch it.
Be it family orientated or the more widely understood stereotype of rape/monsters.

I think to fully understand this whole Japanese obsession with Hentai, you'd need to read some very good and informative books on the whole subject, discussing culture, history of the people, history of anime and manga etc.
I haven't read such a book, so don't stand in any real capacity to try and explain why it's considered entertainment over there.
