I need to get myself a proper walkman - reasonable priced - as in a price that will allow me to be able to take it to high school with me with out any worries of it being destroyed. I'd prefer it to be a CD-Player, but a minidisc player is fine. please bear in mind that i desperately want the mega-bass thingy, with the wierd connection. y'know. a row of pins.

If you have a look around the internet - there are programs that do it.

Sometimes software comes with the player that lets you do it.

I'm not after advice on what format, but any player of any format that plays well for it's price. i'm sure some of you have a good recommendation. also, is it possible to convert WMA's from CD's to MP3? if so, MP3 it is then...

They are very expensive.

Just get an MP3 player mate - it's easier.

this looks like an ideal choice, but i see your point about mp3 players, and it's a good idea seeing as our house does have kazaa lite subscription.
