I need to get myself a proper walkman - reasonable priced - as in a price that will allow me to be able to take it to high school with me with out any worries of it being destroyed. I'd prefer it to be a CD-Player, but a minidisc player is fine. please bear in mind that i desperately want the mega-bass thingy, with the wierd connection. y'know. a row of pins.

meh.

Walk....CD skips.....Walk......CD skips.

Mp3 player's have no moving components at all. Nice fresh digital quality music on the move. All would work with your headphones aswell.

You'd be wasting your money mate - A CD player at £75 is shockingly overpriced.

Save up for a 128mb MP3 player or an iPod mate.

I actually don't rate Sony that highly. £2000 on a hifi and you would think it would at least work.

first off, i'd prefer it from a name that i KNOW my brand new and not-too-cheap headphones will be entirely compatible with - SONY. Also, my CD player won't skip either, as it has G-protection, which is the norm throughout SONY's stuff nowadays. basically, it'll take all the punishment it can take, and at the end it takes a second to catch it's breath, and it's normal again. basically, only if you are doing cigourous tumbling on hard surfaces will the Player skip.
