It seems that from time to time people will post a poem but it is awkward to find somewhere to post it. Life or General seem to be the two forums people favour so I think it would be a good idea to have a thread just for submitting poems to so that people who are interested in reading poetry or submitting there own have a thread in which to do so instead of trawling through the backlogs of posts.


Feel free to submit anything of a poetical nature to this thread as well as comments on people's writing.

Blackglove this makes me think. Yet isnt too chalenging wgich is good as I have a headache.

Is there anything you can't do man! Your stories are better in comparison. But this is still darn good

I don't see myself as a poet, but here goes:


STARLESSLY

Fiendish lies clothed in feathers
That's what spewed out of your mouth
Double-crossing doubletalk
Filth
I should have knuckled your smarmy face there and then
But I didn't
I let it go
And now the sun has drowned in useless death
And I lie alone in silent tatters

They are coming
Marching forth to collect me
A legion of dark striders
Reapers of the wasted

I look for one last time at the twinkling heavens
A million suns yielding a thousand dawns
I focus on a single star
Its yellow hue
Its delicate fizzing
Its unstoppable perfection

Tick
Tick
The shadows are here
Kill me if the stars will benefit
