Right.

You recently banned Tom on highly understandable grounds. However, I do believe what he did bares resemblence to what Phi11ip and Monkey Man did.
I'm not suggesting they should be banned, oh no, not at all, as they are creditable forum members.

But so was Tom.

To be fair, monkey man started it. Phi11ip followed on. No warning was given at all, and then Tom did it.

I just can't understand how Tom was banned, yet the former two were not.

This isn't an argumentitve post, on troublesome - merely a question of understaning.

The way this bored bloke sees it, SR run the servers - SR make the rules.
They could ban anyone for any reason and there's nothing anyone can do about it.

And that makes me laugh. This whole saga is a bit like Aesop's Fables, but with orangutans instead of chickens and horses.

I've not had a proper chance to look into this latest matter fully, so I don't know whether phillip or monkeyman were involved in this particular incident. However, Tom's little 'joke' came very soon after people's accounts were comprimised and it was a stupid thing to do, worthy of a banning in my book. Kinda like the whole 'Iraq through the prism of 9/11' thing.

And because we're staff, we can do what we want. That's what a zero tolerance policy means - you mess up, we come down on you. We're not stopping you from enjoying the forums and using them how they're meant to be used, are we? Do we not host these forums for you and give away games every day? Staff haven't messed up the forums, it's people who think it's funny to mess with people's names and details.

I have no time in my 9 hour day to tidy up people's silly little games on these forums, so it's much easier to ban the person involved and get on with what I was doing. Understand? Good. Now I must sleep.

I don't think Ali wants his addy put on the forums. But anyway, I know you was 'joking' but it gave me a chance to put my point across.

I wouldn't call what I wrote spam. I'm just adding MY input on the whole case. Do I really need to make a topic of my own?

I'll reiterate my initial statement.

If your name is anything other than Mr.Snuggly/Mr. Snuggly - whatever, don't post in here and spam it up, m'kay?

If he bans me for that, it just goes to prove my point that little bit more. But what do they care? These forums are only here so they can get people to sign up and buy stuff from SR. They don't care if members who don't buy from them anymore (like myself) leave the forums because of a banning or whatever.
