Christian Bale.

You may remember his as the boy from the fantastic Empire of the Sun and as high-flying yuppie nutcase Patrick Bateman in American Psycho.
Hopefully the new Batman film will be much better than the last few efforts, which were pretty naff to say the least, still, time will tell I suppose.

I repeat - Clooney would have been a brilliant Batman had he had better material to work with. See Clooney in Out of Sight, Ocean's Eleven etc. to see how cheeky/charming he can be. Batman and Robin was the gayest film ever.

Boreanaz, and he was rumoured for Superman, not Batman. He would've made a great Superman, if they ever get that film going - and PLEASE don't let McG direct, please. Superman: Full Throttle could be enough to make me give up on films.

I would have liked to see what Clooney would've done with the first two films. I've never been a fan of Keaton. Don't really think he captures Bruce Waynes, well, charm - for lack of a better word. Kilmer sucked, as did Forever. But not as much as Batman and Robin. I liked the first film, but not massively. The rest I haven't liked. I think Nolan might be able to make the best Batman film by far.

But they should've cast Guy Pearce.

Clooney was crap, I can't see him as a good Batman now because he was just terrible when he tried.

GGrrr... I await with baited breath the other actors and cast of this new Batman film... The badguy sounds quite interesting:

'Ra's Al Ghul is the single most mysterious and cunning of Batman's foes. He does not associate with the criminally insane group of the rogues gallery. Ra's Al Ghul is a criminal like no other. No one knows exactly when he was born, but he claims to have been alive for over 600 years.'

Anyone else think Clooney would have made a fantastic Batman, if only they didn't have him pretending to be Adam West in a campy 60's way?

Clooney rules, he would have made for a proper dark, witty Batman if someone better had directed the last movie. For the record, I liked Batman Forever but Val Kilmer was too skinny and perdy lookin to be Batman.

Two things I dont get about Superman Vs Batman. Who is going to be evil? And how can a invulnerable alien be killed by a rich guy with some gadgets. It would have to involve kryptonite obviously but then Superman cant die, not even kryptonite kills him, he just get weak and deteriates slowly so some young bird can save him.

Just as well they are making another one, as I'm making do with the Huntress (Batman and Catwoman's daughter) spin off, which is more Mutant X than anything else.

Bale fits in with the creepy dark world of Gotham. I just hope they can fit in more prostitute butchering.
