Yep, I love tekheads. They have really good pre-sales support apart from anything else. I sent them many asinine questions before I finally bought the bits I needed to build a PC, and they always gave me quick, informative and patient replies. In fact I reckon that, as long as you started an email with the words "I'm thinking of buying...", they'd be prepared to answer questions about mortgages, relationships and premature ejaculation.

Actually I still use Ebuyer even though I've had bad experiences with them, as they're the cheapest with the best website. I just don't use them for motherboards - their range is poor, and some of their pricing is unbelievably innacurate. You can still pay £100-ish for a completely obselete motherboard.

Also when I last looked at the Xaser III's they were £120+. At their current price (which I looked up after my last post) they represent much more reasonable value for money. So go for it, if you like.

So whats the £350 card in yours? Is it an old card or a newish one.

Good job your not going to go to LAN parties as it ways a ton. System cooling is great on the case. When using my XP2800 Barton at 100% for 30 mins you can feel the hot air blowing out the back quite well. Leave it idle for another few mins and the back fans are blowing out cold air.

This?

Sapphire ATI Radeon 9600 256MB DDR TV-Out/DVI - Retail (GX-033-SP)

It seems like a damn good card, considering the one in this comp is a 128MB and that cost £350.

I guess the Xaser III is a little flamboyant, but i cant help but think its overwhelmingly cool, in terms of design and system temperatures ;) Its not like i got to LAN parties or that, the only other people who will get to see it will be the guys in my local computer shop.

What graphics card would be best for a tight budget? Around about £100 if possible.

I've got a Lian Li PC60 case, and it's excellent. Cool, sophisticated and understated - much like its owner. I have all the case fans undervolted to keep the noise down and the system temps are still nice and low; but even at full blast its much quieter than most people's PCs. All the expensive cases do a good job, though, and it does just come down to personal preference about the design and how much cooling you want.

Probably my favourite thing about these cases is that they are easy to use: if you want to have a poke around your PC's innards then it's just a case of loosening some bolts and sliding a panel off. Every generic case I've come across has been an absolute git to open. In fact with the first PC I built, I practically had to kick the f*er down the stairs every time I wanted to get it open.

Oh, and for God's sake listen to Miserableman and avoid ebuyer like the plague. Them and aria.co.uk are hopeless, thieving scumbags. I've bought stuff from overclockers before and had no problems, and have had really good experiences with tekheads.

Didnt notice them. I would want to change the Thermaltake logo to something else if I could. Be nice to have the Empire State or the Chrysler building. The other picture that fits into the drive bay would be pointless as I have the cover shut unless I am using the DVD drives.
