There are plenty of moments in many films I own on DVD, which spoil the whole flavour of the movie like a t^rd in vegetable soup. For example if I could, I'd edit out Sam in LOTR, whacking goblins with his frying pan in the Moria rumble and all the comedy stuff with Gimli in the Two Towers. The stick around bit from Predator would be gone too.

Anyway is there anything on the market (or is incoming) that will let you do this without reducing the quality of the master disk?

In fact this should be made possible as I'd happily edit a 4 hour Alien/Aliens spectacular.

If I was a gimp, but you get my point.

A mithril harp? That'll take some playing.

Yes, I am the Beard Man, I come from far away. What shall I play? The elvish crafted mithril harp from Ithilien.

Doesn't have the same ring to it.

I thought the humour was ok, but after youve seen it a few times the funny factor disappears.

See, Stryke agrees with me and he's the forum's foremost authority on beardliness. I really should read the book again, but it might never happen. I have to read stuff on Karl Marx, finish The Great Gatsby, and then others to read as well.

Yes, the comedy bits were crap. I liked the counting of orcs killed thing, though, that's straight from the book.

I would have loved Gimli to shout "You were named after the DOG?" as a battle-cry. Would have been classic.

No, i felt it was inkeeping with the spirit of the book.

In my opinion, the ISP is the best I have ever used. They guarantee 'first time connection - everytime', which they have never let me down on.

Over the years I've become very jaded after many bad experiences with customer services, you have bucked the trend. Polite and efficient from the Freeola team, well done to all involved.
