There are plenty of moments in many films I own on DVD, which spoil the whole flavour of the movie like a t^rd in vegetable soup. For example if I could, I'd edit out Sam in LOTR, whacking goblins with his frying pan in the Moria rumble and all the comedy stuff with Gimli in the Two Towers. The stick around bit from Predator would be gone too.

Anyway is there anything on the market (or is incoming) that will let you do this without reducing the quality of the master disk?

In fact this should be made possible as I'd happily edit a 4 hour Alien/Aliens spectacular.

If I was a gimp, but you get my point.

You've never dressed up OR been in someone's Bag End? I thought you would have at least done one or the other.

I would make you dinner, but I don't think my feet are quite hairy enough. I suppose I could move your doorhandle to the middle though.

Oh come on, I've never dressed up as wizard, or been up a hobbit's Bag End.

And I expect you to a bit more civil to me now I've voted you, laddybuck. You can start by making me dinner.

Tell that to a few fans even more beardy than me and a series of arson attacks on printing presses could ensue.

Just think - if Gideon's didn't exist, LOTR would probably be number one.

I read it in The Times when the first film was released. Could be wrong, I suppose. It is owned by the same people as BSkyB, after all.

And are those sales figures just from the West? Are you sure it's outsold the Quran?

I'm not arguing with that.

Believe it or not, I was waiting for that.

Well seeing as Final Fantasy isn't a book, you can hardly use that as a measure.

And the Bible is a far better work of fiction than LOTR.
