Christiano Ronaldo that is :D in a £7.7 Million deal. This should be the perfect replacement for missing out on Ronaldinho and plus he's young too, so definitly one for the future. Can play up front, just behind Ruud or even on the right wing so he's very versatile to. Should be a good buy if Kenyon can actually close this deal instead of mucking around for 2 months.

Yeah, he was. including those stupid goals against Chelsea and Liverpool that helped Man Utd to the title?

Idiot.

i used to watch eurosport and he was huge on there. top scorer of the dutch league. everyone knew he was going to be good. usually had goal of the month. so i knew about him. now henry scoring everyweek and being worth over 20mil and much the same story with vieira, now that was unknown.

stop promoting chelski ashley. everyones heard it and no-one cares.

ronaldo boy looks like a good signing.

*keane will break his legs in training, for being a pansie.

Reports this morning are claiming United are set to complete the double signing of 'Ron' & 'Kleba' in the next day or so but both clubs have declined to comment.

Hopefully a defender aint too far away either with reports of Puyol and Trabelsi being strongly linked recently.

If the transfer is confirmed, it's good news: an ideal replacement for Beckham! And seeing that he can play as a forward as well, diego forlan will be less favoured. And he was a complete waste of money!

come to think of it, during an injury crisis in 1996 Beckham played up front with cole. But that is now irrelevant.

Was going to say that you have no chance of signing him until I found out that it was not the Brazilian world cup winner.

Not sure how good this Ronaldo is, but nobody knew how good Van Nistlerooy was. Be interesting if he does go to United.

His love for chelsea may not be a major issu, the fact he is 18 and has played at junior level with filipe oliveira however is likely to be a larger factor. if they are friends as the portugese media are suggesting then that is quite a strong reason for him to go there. espescially as they look to be a club with a huge future.

Maybe i didn't make myself quite clear but i meant after the Ronaldinho saga i take media 'quotes' with a pinch of salt now. Unless i see them on tv saying it i don't believe it so forgive me for being a bit sceptical of Ronaldo quoting his love for Chelsea. I guess it's the cynic in me

and he maintained it after he signed for barca!

Said "it broke my heart not to go to united, it was just too different to my beloved brazil!"

Its just as unreasonable to assume he's joining united by media quotes, as to assume he has stated a club preference by media quotes. that is the most hypocritical thing i have heard all day!
