Christiano Ronaldo that is :D in a £7.7 Million deal. This should be the perfect replacement for missing out on Ronaldinho and plus he's young too, so definitly one for the future. Can play up front, just behind Ruud or even on the right wing so he's very versatile to. Should be a good buy if Kenyon can actually close this deal instead of mucking around for 2 months.

Plus Kleberson has also signed today. Quite a good day, the first Brazilian and Portugese players to sign for us.

So now we seem to have our goalkeeper, midfield and strike force sorted. All we need is a defender, maybe Puyol, and we should have a very very strong team to retain the title

Seems Ronaldo will be wearing the number 7 shirt for United as well. Quite an honour considering who has worn it in the past. Hopefully he'll be another legend for United to have worn the number.

He can play anywhere accross the frontline, left/right/striker

When Sporting played against Utd recently - he played on the right wing and won man of the match....

So whats the problem?

You also said, quote:

My point was, who has said Fergie will play him on the right? He's a forward/striker. Why would he be put out on the right (although anything's possible with Fergie) and why compare him to Quaresma? They're totally different players. And once again that's your opinion of him not being ready.

And where did i say he had thought that?

This has been

Or they were praising him because they thought he was a good player and so urged Fergie to sign him. Sky Sports News has been saying that was a big factor in Fergie deciding to buy him now, because of what the players thought about him and his abilities. And once again i'll take the opinions of the United players of Ronaldo's abilities over yours sorry

Who's actually said he's going to put on the right side? I haven't seen Fergie come on TV and said that's where he's going to play him. That's just your assumption. Just like my assumption is he's most likely to put him either alongside Ruud in attack or behind him in the hole.

So you'd rather take the

Yes i've seen the articles too but something inside me very much doubts people like Rivaldo are going to call up papers like the People and give an in-depth interview on what they think of him. Rivaldo probably once said *Oh Heskey had a good few minutes during the match* in passing then suddenly it gets turned into *Rivaldo thinks Heskey is best english player ever!!* you know how much papers like to blow things out of proportion.

>> Former France and current liverpool manager think he should

Because he isn't biased at all seeing as Heskey is one of his players eh? And anyway he's already stated that Heskey needs to step up his game this season.

As I said I'd be delighted to have landed him at chelsea, but he's not the finished article up front, however he maybe in the future, i can't see how he's going to fit in. and man utd need that forward NOW! He's not the striker you need, and he hasn't been a first choice righ sider at any point in his career. So you'd rather take the opinion of world class footballers eh? So you agree heskey should be starting for england? Plenty of first class footballers have declared this, Former France and current liverpool manager think he should, sven thinks he should, nobody else does. I rest my case.

I think we solved the problem we had against Real last term.

A dodgy keeper who let in 4 soft goals in two games to make the tie unwinnable.

The keyword there is 'premeirship' Utd's main assault this season again will be the champions league, where if we come up against the likes of Real we must stop them scoring in order to have a chance of winning/going through - especially away from home, this is an area which United need to improve.
