I have done several speedtests since midday today and I have not got over 2.6mb/s.
My last results a minute ago from bt speed tester were:
Test1 comprises of Best Effort Test: -provides background information.
Your DSL connection rate: 13789 kbps(DOWN-STREAM), 1152 kbps(UP-STREAM)
IP profile for your line is - 11000 kbps
Actual IP throughput achieved during the test was - 1586 kbps
My current router stats are:
IP 11000k
Data Rate: 13790 1153
Noise M 12 5
Ooutput Power 125 203
Att 37 14
I appreciate ALT kicks in sometimes, but this looks like a fault.
Are there any server issues currently?
Neil
It must be terrible to ONLY run around 9000kbps :¬P
[s]Hmmm...[/s] It appears to have settled down over the last 48 hours or so, but I still only get about 9Mbps. My highest has been nearer 13 with an IP of 14000, but that didnt last long.
I noticed that I fell off the net 'completely', twice, for a matter of minutes last night. I had sync, but no line for 10 minutes each hit.
I'm monitoring performance closely and regularly.

If the ALT is off with your throughput/profile it looks like (to me!) you have a problem with WBC...
Hopefully Freeola will be along to help soon.
[s]Hmmm...[/s] N.
EDIT: I spoke too soon...
My IP has dropped to 9000k and the spped test just taken was:
Your DSL connection rate: 11309 kbps(DOWN-STREAM), 1101 kbps(UP-STREAM)
IP profile for your line is - 9000 kbps
Actual IP throughput achieved during the test was - 1197 kbps
Columbo was 52%
ALT off
Some of the nodes are still pretty busy since capacity issues/questions were raised in a similar post the other week.
BUT I also see some other providers are suffering with BT's WBC product that you are using. There do seem to be issues with WBC for some users so I wonder if this is hurting you more than the ALT?
If you perform a speed test after checking the ALT is NOT active what do your results look like?
[s]Hmmm...[/s] My daytime throughput all this week has been 1Mbps or below, including now.
My speed does increase late at night, but this is of little use when I am just about to sleep.
I would provide BT Speedtester results but as per usual, it is malfunctioning, and then barring further use for 3 hours. However, my latest speedtest.net results show downloads at 0.65Mbps and uploads at 0.94.
My IP is currently 10000k.
It will soon be the case where I have no choice but to revoke payment agreements with you if this continues.
I simply am not prepared to pay £24+ per month for a 1Mbps connection.

Same again today.
Please look at ticket 151024 for details.
Thanks.
Thanks,
Neil
If you could run a few speed tests over the next couple of days and they all show similar poor results then that would suggest that there is a problem somewhere.
If the throughput is 1.5Mbps all the time then that suggests that you have a RADIUS profile issue. Drop us a ticket with you speed test results if things don't improve and support can have a look at this for you.
