Hi,

I have done several speedtests since midday today and I have not got over 2.6mb/s.

My last results a minute ago from bt speed tester were:

Test1 comprises of Best Effort Test: -provides background information.
Your DSL connection rate: 13789 kbps(DOWN-STREAM), 1152 kbps(UP-STREAM)
IP profile for your line is - 11000 kbps
Actual IP throughput achieved during the test was - 1586 kbps

My current router stats are:

IP 11000k
Data Rate: 13790 1153
Noise M 12 5
Ooutput Power 125 203
Att 37 14

I appreciate ALT kicks in sometimes, but this looks like a fault.

Are there any server issues currently?

I reckon Freeola should grab twitter.com/freeola before someone else does!!!

They could use it properly (not like most of us!) and post updates, news, status items, etc.

Hi ButchML,
I did notice a 'tweet' about that!
Let's hope it improves things.

I'll try to give you some feedback after the changes have been made ;¬)

As I'm sure some of you may already be aware, as of this Wednesday [November 4th] new techniques will be applied to our ADSL accounts in an attempt to resolve the slower speeds some customers are receiving during busy periods. This new technique will be trialled for the 3 weeks after this date.

Obviously if you notice any change (for better or for worse) during this period please, let us know.

Just replied to the support ticket with my documented BT Speedtests as requested.

They clearly show that I rarely achieve my IP Profile's throughput (less overheads) unless my IPSC node is fairly quiet which doesn't happen very often!

Please let me know if you should need any further tests or details.
