Hi,

I have done several speedtests since midday today and I have not got over 2.6mb/s.

My last results a minute ago from bt speed tester were:

Test1 comprises of Best Effort Test: -provides background information.
Your DSL connection rate: 13789 kbps(DOWN-STREAM), 1152 kbps(UP-STREAM)
IP profile for your line is - 11000 kbps
Actual IP throughput achieved during the test was - 1586 kbps

My current router stats are:

IP 11000k
Data Rate: 13790 1153
Noise M 12 5
Ooutput Power 125 203
Att 37 14

I appreciate ALT kicks in sometimes, but this looks like a fault.

Are there any server issues currently?

Currently downloading OffenOffice @ 16.8KB/Sec!
150MB file is going to take another two hours at current rate - in 30mins I've done 37MB.

No real difference to report - interconnect status still displays a disabled ALT etc etc.....but Freeola chat pages are taking an age to load between selections, didn't happen before...no other site or access takes as long - what have you done Freeola?

Not noticed any real differences yet, except for the interconnect status page over the last two visits has shown ALT disabled and Data not available under High Bandwidth user.

Hi Warhunt - the Enta NOC has more details. You should also have received an email explaining the changes.

Connections are now being 'traffic shaped' to try to allow the existing capacity to cope with more 'normal' traffic.

That suits me as I don't use p2p or newsgroups but whether it will resolve the capacity problems I'm not sure...

To the best of my knowledge I steer clear of P2P due to perceived security implications.

My main activities are browsing, ftp, IM.

Interesting note. It appears the changes are focusing on heavy P2P users, so any one who is monitored or viewed to be using large amounts of P2P will still be effected. I'll try and get a more detailed description.

Incidentally do you use a lot of P2P Neil?
