Can someone tell me if this is a regular accurance in all Region 2 Daredevil DVD's. I played the film on a standard 4:3 TV and I am experiencing a purple line constantly flickering through a couple of the scenes in the film. Its between Chapters 20 - 23 and the line is half way between the bottom of the TV screen and the bottom of the widescreen picture.

I only got it last Thursday but I don't want to send it back if it is just a video transfer problem with all Region 2 Daredevil DVD's.

Thankyou in advance.

I'll pretend you didn't just say that.

The Hellraiser series is absoloutly superb....well up to Hellraiser 3 it is. Cliver Barker's original is one of my favourite films ever, stunning atmosphere, great acting and some truely amazing monster design. The series went downhill by the 4th entry so I try to ignore them, but I ask you to name a finer Horror trilogy than the Hellraiser trilogy other than the Dead trilogy. The only thing that comes close is Evil Dead.

Oh and Hedfix, Hellraiser Bloodline is utter toss. The film had absoloutly no budget at all, they just reused a load of old sets from Sci-Fi movies. The film was so bad that even the director denys that he has anything to do with it, that's why it's directed by Alan Smithee (made up name that hollywood uses a lot when the director wants nothing to do with the film)

Number 3 and Number 5 are shockingly appauling. When you consider the impact which the original Halloween had on the horror industry it was sad to see that they were spinning of sequels not worthy of a late night channel 5 showing.

I am still a big fan of the original. Still scares the hell out of me at the best of times. I can't remember the last time we were treated to a decent horror movie.

Got em both. Number 3 hasn't even got Myers in it! :D

Get it.

Good films. Better than the 80s Halloweens anyway.

I can only presume you are relating it to Event Horizon by the ending on board the space ship.

I don't have the Evil Dead Triology as at the time I opted for the Halloween 6 disc Special Edition Box set. A few of those Halloween films are appauling though.

Might get it though when I get around to pre ordering the 24 Season 2 Box Set later this week.

Oh and for Hedfix, why don't you think I have seen Hellraiser 4. My local Blockbuster videos had a special offer on rent one horror film and get one free. My brother and I rented 1 - 4 over a weekend and they we were both in agreement when we said what the balls was that?! The transition to DVD of the first 2 as well was very poor. The first one was almost VHS quality.

I have the Evil Dead Trilogy
The Romero Trilogy
All of the Peter Jackson movies bar one
And all the, nicely original, Hellraisers.

Which you seem to prefer to Tarrantino movies judging by your placing of Ransom over Payback.

The hell raisers are looking ropey. But they are original as opposed to the regurgitated teen slasher movies. I don't actually believe you've seen hellraiser 4.

Well: just to be sure there are no misunderstandings.

Oooh we're not restricted to action films anymore.

If your DVD collection is so great ALASTAIR, then I should hope you have the Evil Dead Trilogy. And it's pretty clear he knows Neighbours is a soap...

Making stuff up again I see. I hate to tell you this but Neighbours is a soap...

*Sniggers*

Oh and as for the Scream films. Please don't make me laugh.

The only decent horror films worth watching seem to be the original Night of the Living Dead and the 1978 version of Halloween.

Oh and you don't need to quote the whole message in the reply every time. I think I know who you are referring to.
