I just got back from one. It was a pathetic reason for a detention in the first place. Anyone want to take a guess at what it was for?

I had two detentions during my time at secondary school.
The first was in my first year, I borrow some dice from the maths department to play game with during the lunch hour. 'Misuse of school equipment'.
The second was in the third year, where I recieved a detention for racking up five consecutive late homeworks in maths.

Teachers are sad. They can't let kids be kids!
What I hate is teachers who confiscate trainers, and make the girls wash off their make up. What's the point? Trainers, a safety hazard from falling objects? My trainers are stronger than my normal shoes...

Ok here is my "crime" :
In our school there is an IT suite, like alot of others. Anyway, we can go in at lunch and go on the internet. So, I decide to check my hotmail inbox. The technician bloke comes over and asks me what I'm doing, so I tell him. He says hotmail is not allowed. I didn't know this. He says I should know. He reports me to the VP, a real religious Puritan sort of guy. I get a detention.
