Wouldn't you want to go to something like that?!?! I think I should propose that one of the theatres in Edinburgh acts out that all singing all dancing episode of Buffy The Vampire Slayer. You're allowed to do that as long as you pay liberties aren't you? That'd be great, hard to find someone as fit as Sarah Michelle Gellar though. Anyway this post was written on impulse and nothing will come of it but I just want to see how many people would like to see that. **Gets note pad** GO!

Buffy Seasons 1-6 were superb. Buffy Season 7 was poor.

X-Files can be summarised in 4 words. It was good before Smoking Man came and ponced about a load. He should have stayed mysterious.

They do sound like duds, some of the episodes were admittedly lame, but the end of series two-parters, which addressed the underlying story that went throughout the whole existence of the show, were top class.

Strange phenomena.

It's the whole basis of the X-Files. Or at least it was at the beginning, until the whole story thing began to build up.

Uh huh...well it doesn't really matter I'm just picky about English (I am trying to pass Higher English so I have to be very precise etc) Anyway as for the X-Files I only ever saw two episodes both of which were terrible. I saw one in which a man could go on fire and another in which a man was so lucky he could get chucked off a roof and due to freak weather etc he survived.

Well, Stryke used the words 'stuff like...' which indicates resurrection was just a microcosm of the creative licence they had overall on a show like Buffy.

Besides, that's not the point. We were discussing the merits of the X Files...

No offence but all you said was that as it was a supernatural show you could expect resurrections. That's hardly the same as saying that the genre allows the writers to follow different paths of creative writing. If you said that since the show was supernatural the plot can be manipulated in unexpected directions then that would have been along the same lines as what I said.

If only!

The last few episodes were top-notch. They built up to a climax whereby Mulder and Scully located the primary source of information, where the 'truth' would finally be revealed, and it was...sort of.

It turned out ot be Smoking Man, with white hair and a straggly white beard, with what looked like a car cigarette charger imbedded into his neck, through which he smoked a pipe or something.

Oh, and by that time, he'd announced the end of the world, but I was too busy being disappointed to notice...
