decided to watch the matrix last night on tv since the first time i watched it i turned it off half way through becasue its a load of cr*p but i watched it through last night and noted some things maybe u could answer these for me.

1) the morpheus guy says "what is real" then he says that the robots using people as batterys is real so how does he know its real ?

2) they say that you can die because your mind makes it real wtf they on if you was in a virtual reality machine even one that advanced theres no way ur mind could make the injurys in the game real.

3) they use a phone whilst there in the matrix to phone that bloke in the real world how can they phone the real world on a phone that does'nt exist ?

4)Why would Machines that advanced bother for ever using people as batterys why not just get the power from the sun again other wise there existance would only to reproduce people to keep themselves working which isn't really worth it.

5)Why Bother going in a computer game to fight people you cannot beat why not stay in the real world to destroy the robots and restart the human race?.

Ok thanks for that - just to confirm all of Zion is wiped out? and the humans in the Matrix have 24 hours to live before they are killed - hence the plot for the final film. I just wanted to know who was on that ship at the end and whether Niobe or Ghost had been killed?

The spoon was a reminder of the "there is no spoon" line from matrix 1.

The dead guy at the end is the one who got caught by Agent Smith while he was trying to transport using the phone. The one who runs up the Neo as they are about the part (Not the one who gives him the spoon). By the way, what was the spoon for?

He had a little beard, but that was about as far as the resemblance went.

If you noticed - in the first one somebody states that the robots became adapted to life without light - and now they use the humans as a kind of processor. But the cliffhanger at the end is superb. Also is it just me or did the guy look like Cypher? I know it probably wasnt...
Also just to confirm who was actually left at the end of the film as i cant remember?

He used a battery as an example of an electric source, dummy. It's also a metaphor.
he knows it's real becuase he has seen it with his own eyes, and it's pretty ovbious that the robots are since they have no other energy sources other than the Matrix since they are solar powered and we "scorched the skies".
