This (as the name suggests) is the OFFICIAL poetry and Hai-ku thread for the Special Reserve Forums. Naturally this thread is open to all members with creative talent and even ones who are just doing it for a laugh. Post all your creative works here and let the rest of the forum admire it! Give poetry a try, you never know, you might like it :D Here are a few terms to help you get started with poetry.
Key:
Stanza - One of the divisions of a poem, composed of two or more lines usually characterized by a common pattern of meter, rhyme, and number of lines.
Hai-ku - A Japanese lyric verse form having three unrhymed lines of five, seven, and five syllables, traditionally invoking an aspect of nature or the seasons.
Poem - A verbal composition designed to convey experiences, ideas, or emotions in a vivid and imaginative way, characterized by the use of language chosen for its sound and suggestive power and by the use of literary techniques such as meter, metaphor, and rhyme.

sorry, Yes it does mean good. But as a low life from essex we tend to say such phrases. I am sorry :( honestly, i liked that poem alot!

Life
Life comes and gos
What's after life no one knows
Perhaps you'll live in total bliss
We all can live in happiness
Life's to short
it'll soon be through
Stop and look from different view
Men and women from all races
Stop and look at people's faces
Were not so different you and I
We all live under the same sky
Unite all people of every nation
You can be this worlds salvation
Summer
A bright summers day starts again
Children are playing with in the glen
I look out the window blistering sun
A brand new season has begun
Shadows of darkness and harsh winter rain
It all has gone it could not remain
From icy winds to scorching heat
The climate changes on every street
I love the summer for many reasons
It's the best of all the seasons
Life gos on threw hot and cold
But summers the best it's as good as gold
The Bay
There is no life on this dark day
There is no light along this bay
The bay is full of waste and pollution
nothing lives we need a solution
The dirty water's a horid display
the plants and fish are far away
People come and people go
There's Toxic fumes from head to toe
How can people be so blind
With all the waste they leave behind
One day I hope they sky turns blue
All we need is help from you
The Cat
As dark as a shadow
With a subtle glow
This cat wanders from door to door
Fur so silky
Yet tough and strong
This cat wanders all day long
Durable claws
Four strong paws
This cat wanders without a cause
Gazing eyes
So very wise
This cat wanders until she dies
Time
Constantly ticking the clocks move on
Spinning around till the break of dawn
When one cycle starts another will end
Your time is too short to simply spend
Life is short for you and me
Try to fill it full of glee
This world is full of wondrous things
You'll never know what tomorrow brings
A new experience for you to try
Seize the moment until you die
Youth
Many would pay to be young again
It seems like it's not a pain for them
Adults tell me to make the most of my youth
But what they wont say is really the truth
I can't go to night clubs because of drink
It's because of all this it makes my heart sink
If I could choose the perfect age
I'd grow by more than a hundred days
But since I can't i'm forever trapped
To wait for the day that I can adapt
A night on the town will get rid of my frown
If I don't get out i'll simply drown
I try to look older by the clothes I wear
You see my life is truly unfair
Sometimes I think I should act my age
But when I do i'm full of rage
I want my life to be more fun
But this can't happen I haven't won.
