Wow, can't believe there isn't one of these running yet especially as one of the most popular TV shows is back (for the Yanks) tomorrow night!

Last year we had a successful thread where theories were discussed as well as thoughts on each episode, so why not one for this 17 episode run?

Personally I will be watching on Sky1 on Sunday and not jumping ahead of others in the UK by watching the US streams/rips but I know some will coughMcLongcough so don't expect to see me comment or even read this thread till Monday at the earliest.

Any questions for this series you want answers for? I'm sure you have all seen the hype videos by now (even with the god-awful Fray music) but if you haven't you should really check them out.

I actually really enjoyed this episode, Sayid episodes (along with Ben ones) are always my favourite as he is the middle-eastern Rambo in them. Didn't see the ending coming at all, was a complete shock, don't be so sure that nothing will happen as we already know from Faraday's meeting with Desmond aspects of the future can be changed by the surviors exploits in the past, although I strongly doubt that Ben will be killed off.

Interestingly the next episode is called 'Whatever happened, happened', suggests to me that it will follow on, in the present day, with Ben and Locke et al coming to terms with Ben murdering Locke and being shot as a boy.

That episode was a bit meh because of how predictable it was. There were pretty much no answers and even the ending, which should have been awesome, was a disappointment because we already know the future.

Damnit, I just read something that seems like a spoiler in summation for upcoming episodes.
Not really a spoiler as I've already mentioned this but

Ah right. The electro-magnetic release.
Ok so Dharma set up The Swan (that I think Radzinski was building), then the incident happens causing the eletromagnetic release. What exactly did that do? Or did Desmond stop it by turning the key?

I guess we'll be staying in the 70's until the end of the season to find out.

I haven't got a clue what happened to them. I assume they're still on the island in modern times and I wouldn't be surprised if Sun and Frank run into them very soon.

That's so long ago that I don't even remember what it said.

Hmm interesting theory, has it been confirmed that Island 2/Hydra isn't moving with the main island? I would assume that the whole thing would be as it also disappeared at the end of season 4. What you say could make sense though in a Back to the Future type timeline scenario.

At the moment I am assuming that Sun and Frank will have a part in 'pulling' the other survivors into the present rather than the survirors 'pushing' their way back.

Anyone else wondering what's happened to Rose, Bernard and the other survivors that were also travelling through time? Have they joined the others or have they just hung about in the jungle for 3 years?

It's only just occurred to me that the reason Sun and Ben are in the present and Jack, Sawyer etc are in the past is because only the main island has been travelling through time.
Ok so Sun, Frank and Ben boat over from Island 2 (2007) but instead of ending up on Island 1 (1973 version) they end up on Island 1 (2007 version), which makes sense I guess.

Ah I've been wondering how everyone will end up in the same timeframe again. I'm guessing it'll happen when Ben tricks Widmore into turning the wheel. Did child Ben trick Widmore? Because going back to the fantastic London hotel scene, Widmore's first words are "I know who you are, boy"

We got Namaste last night on Sky1

The events in the episode last night took place before Locke woke up/rose from the dead/whatever. If you remember back a fortnight to LaFleur it was mentioned that the pilot disappeared in a boat with 'a woman' when Locke questioned it. After last night we now know how Ben ended up unconscious after the crash and in the 'hospital' bed.
