How about Alonso standing in, for the next race anyway. Afterall, he's off there next season, and Bernie wouldn't want a race happening in Spain without the major ticket-seller out due to Renault's ban?

An intruiging one for you F1 fans out there. Michael Schumacher says he would consider standing in for Massa if asked.

Massa is responding when spoken to and is coming out of sedation more and more so that is positive. However, recent reports suggest some kind of eye injury which could end his F1 career.
Renault suspended for the European GP for knowingly releasing Alonso with a loose wheel and not notifying the driver. Renault are appealing.

I hope he recovers. What a legend, and what a bad way to go.
Yeah, he's had the surgery now. He is in a life threatening condition but stable. He's been sedated and will be monitored through the night. Next 24 hours or so are crucial.
Yeah, Massa was probably just stunned and hurting after getting hit by that piece. He did brake, although not fully.
Looking at the replay at the time, Barrichello was going round the corner just before the one Massa crashed at and something broke at the rear of the car. I thought I saw something hanging off the back of the car and I'm guessing that is what flew off and hit Massa.
As for Button, the team just wanted to make sure that Button's suspension was okay before sending him out. It's why he only did 1 run at the end.
Hungary is very rarely a race that has a lot of drama so it probably needs Hamilton to get away from the dirty side of the grid and take the lead if we are going to have any kind of race at all. If one of the Red Bulls get ahead, it is probably all over.
UPDATE: Massa was knocked unconscious. Telemetry has Massa with his feet on the accelerator and the brake at the same time. He is not racing tomorrow.
