If this is really the case then what the hell are we doing spending £9.3 billion on the Olympics?
Redeveloping a large section of London from essentially a wasteland into a desirable business and housing centre, contributing to the sports development all over this country for the next... let's say 30 years and bringing in a huge amount of money from tourism, sponsorship and selling the TV rights to the games all over the world. It'll break even financially reasonably easily.
Plus that money was ring-fenced and budgeted for 7 years ago, it has no bearing on current finances and in the grand scheme of things is a relatively small amount.
Certainly down as one of the top releases this year and a great deal for anyone who hasn't already picked up a copy.

CHRISTMAS ALERT!
The Christmas Radio Times is out. Yes, it wouldn't be Christmas without it. You can also get a free Gruffalo colouring book from WHSmiths or ELC with it.
Anyone catch The Great British Property Scandal on CH4 last night? The programme highlighted the fact there is a massive shortage of affordable housing available in this country yet there are currently over 1 million empty properties in the UK. The government says there is no money available to renovate these so they can be rented out to families desperate for homes. If this is really the case then what the hell are we doing spending £9.3 billion on the Olympics?
Because all those other countries aren't going to see the empty housing situation on TV and laugh? It really is as simple as the fact that the Olympics are a spectacle that the world will be watching, whether or not this is much less important than housing people.
It's not even an choice
Bus time again, seems a bit blustery out there today.
Not a fan of AO-hell then DL? My mate is with them and his connection is total crap (very slow and constantly drops out) but he seems to put with them because they are cheap.
You're having a laff pete :¬D AOL are the 'pits' ... always have been! Tried the dial-up service about 1997 and it was ............................................... maybe ...................... yes ............. oh no you're not .................................. bye :¬(
At my house in Brighton we have Sky Broadband which is okay but nowhere near as fast as it claims to be.
But whose is? Freeola's is far the best for us and we've tried a few including the dial-up days with AOL!!!! "Pits"
EDIT: Then you must have a 'student house' and with the broadband also include all the Sky 'packages' so that makes sense really ... swings and roundabouts, I suppose :¬)
Oh Alfonse, sad :¬(
Yeah, it's massively slow and expensive. Should probably tell my father to upgrade it/ make it cheaper but I can't be asked
