First time it's caused a problem though and got sorted fairly quickly, so not to worry.
Now to go back to playing Mario Kart 7...
And yes...so is Mrs DL (this usually means "please turn up the nuclear-fired boiler, but I'm not asking you directly") :¬D
Just to get this restarted;
I showed my girlfriend the Clarkson clip earlier as she (somehow) hadn't seen it - oddly enough his second comment, about shooting people, is the only part most people have uploaded to YouTube. Not the part before where he's clearly joking, then moves on to BBC neutrality and decides to say they should be shot to balance his statement. I smell an agenda or two.
Also, since when should you take what he says seriously?!!?
In other news, I am incredibly cold. :/
Too true. A lot of people are completely overlooking the fact that Clarkson was trying to make a joke of the BBC's obligations to be neutral on matters. As Clarkson said afterwards, most people complaining have seen the clip on YouTube and are complaining because of that.
Again, I don't like Clarkson too much, but I'm certainly not one of those people who completely despise him, yet throw the limelight onto him every time his ego thinks before his brain, which I've found is most of the time.
It was a failure of a joke but that is all. I couldn't see any malice behind what he said.
Oh, and I find it hilarious that it's being classed as more serious than the Sax and Ross/Brand situation. For one, Jonathan Ross and Russell Brand are possibly two of the biggest *explicits* on TV (well, they were :-P). Secondly, they knew exactly what they were doing but didn't expect any of the nation to be bothered about old 'Manuel' from Fawlty Towers. Thirdly, I prefer Clarkson over Ross and Brand. Biased much? :-)
*third edit* Hope you stick round El Viking and Trish :-D
