Quite right pb, except it was rolled around an old chair spindle ... suppose it softened the blows. Besides, I can't see that the RT (at £2.36) is any more comprehensive than a 90p Festive TV Guide or infact a free guide generally found in a Saturday or Sunday newspaper :¬)[/i]
I've not seen any of the cheap or free guides cover plots, film guides or all the channels in quite as good a way as RT and the layout is better. Besides, it's once a year.
Fus Ro Dah!
Why did you delete that? Did you remember that you did the same joke last year?

Ah, the joys of getting up in the dark and trudging to the bus stop in the rain. I'll enjoy my few weeks off that I've booked for Christmas.

The Christmas issue is especially important to helping work out what to record over Christmas and brings back fond memories of circling the programmes I wanted to watch as a child, before we had the luxury of a video recorder or HDD.
One piece of criticism has been that a lot of the work on the site has gone to immigrants
How dare they have jobs

I'm also slightly surprised by the apparent support for the proposed (Welsh Government backed) £200 million motor racing circuit at Ebbw Vale. One argument is that if it gets built then we could host a second round of the MotoGP world championship in the UK. But we already have 3 International racing circuits in this country, if we need to host another race in the UK then why not give the event to one of the other existing circuits?
One piece of criticism has been that a lot of the work on the site has gone to immigrants - however this is pretty much inevitable in London and not something that bothers me too much.
In other news, combining vindaloo and red wine is not the best idea I've had recently. Along with doing a 300-odd mile round trip to Oxford for research yesterday...
Also, I do plan on sticking around - albeit sporadically!
