Will she get statutory maternity from the Government? It's not much, but worth checking.
The alternative is too see if she can do something working from home for now. If she can make something or even travel to car boot sales (possibly not, in her condition) then ebay can sometimes work out well.
I wish her luck anyway.
What do you say? What can you say? Having been there, I know the procedure ... but she hasn't been with the company concerned for over a year, so no redundancy payment and with 14 weeks left, no new employer is going to entertain taking her on!
This is really going to be a "Happy New Year" :¬(
At the moment, my 3G HSPA+ signal on my MIFI gets a faster transfer rate than my Broadband. That's after it became double the speed that BT were giving me when I changed to O2 (and about the same as with Freeola's Broadband too. when I tried that)/
Depends on your Internet speed, it seems. My 2.7mbps connection streamed Tron in HD nicely from my 360 on the 32" TV. It started with lots of jagged edges in a much lower quality, but pausing lets it buffer and it looks pretty high quality.
My connection speed is double that but the picture on Netflix had noticeable blocking and looked liked 30% of the colour had been drained from it. Even SD Freeview looks really good on my 46'' plasma but this was most definitely inferior to that. Guys on an another forum have been reporting similar experiences, suppose these issues could become more noticeable on screens over a certain size? They were also stating that HD streams were suffering from lip synching issues, I have had that on Eurosport HD but pausing and buffering the transmission usually (but not always) sorts out that problem. Suppose theres no real reason not to use the free month on the Netflix subscription but TBH I really can't be bothered. Reckon streaming will probably be the way we watch most of our films once ADSL2 is rolled out nationwide but it at the moment I personally would not pay to subscribe to a service like this.
On a more serious note, where is this quiz?
Tried Netflix on my 360 this evening and wasn't impressed TBH. Picture was horrible blown up on a large screen (46'') but would probably look fine on a laptop or something. I've now uninstalled the app off the dashboard. I do subscribe to Eurosport player and that is the same to be fair but I'm not interested in watching films this way while there are much better quality alternatives. Upscaled DVD and Freeview SD are better quality than this.

Can't complain for a month of unlimited free movies and £5.99 if I wanted to continue.
Pretty sure it works just as well on Android too. It also works on PC, Mac, PS3, 360, Wii some TVs and coming to 3DS and Vita too.
(you got a bit carried away there pb, posting twice!)
Lol, playing video games on consoles
I know. Next they'll be saying that gamers play games on those big devices they use in offices. What were they called now? PCs or something.
