I'd implore any real gamer to take a gander at the Splinter Cell HD Trilogy, Tomb Raider Trilogy and The Prince of Persia trilogy. And of course, the upcoming Metal Gear Solid HD trilogy. All absolute bargains.

Received the Splinter Cell Trilogy from Amazon today. Also awaiting MGS 4. Got me some gaming to do! :D

I've seen the Kingston G3s for about £25-£28, but you'll be paying for the name as well. There are fast pen drives from other companies.

The alternative is to get a fast Micro SD card with an adaptor which are often about the same size as a pen drive or smaller, but have the advantage of being able to fit in other devices too.

I have an 8GB Play.com pen drive but unfortunately it's not up to job I needed it to do. You're right though it's fine for most applications but I need one capable of playing large HD files on my portable media player. Some files can be anything up to 30Mbs which these sticks cannot handle. Also they come pre-formatted in FAT32 which generally works great on flash media but unfortunately limits any file transfers to 4GB. Formatting these sticks in NTFS absolutely kills the transfer rate (it does on my PC anyway). In the end I went for a Kingston Data Traveller R500 which cost £40, which I thought was very expensive.

Morning guys,

Just ordered a 32GB ''fast'' USB pen drive, thought flash media was supposed to be cheap these days? Could have bought an external HDD with 10 times the capacity and probably better transfer speeds for similar money but needed it to be as small as possible.

It should be around £1 a GB but some brands charge more. I usually use Play.com as their prices are pretty good. In their recent sales they've had 32GB pen drives for £17.99, though not the faster speed devices (these days most of them should be fast enough to use for most purposes anyway).
