Morning.

Yes, the sun is streaming though my study window.

Having to work from home as my eldest is ill today. No idea what I would have done without that flexibility.

Evening pb and all ...

Turned out nice ... beautiful evening and the swallows are still 'singing'.

Nice that your full-time employment affords that flexibility. Mrs DL applied for JSA recently and it included me! The information required was totally unbelievable and at times totally not relevant to the 'request', so we refused. I also refused to attend and told them so.

Mrs DL attended and received JSA without any request for the 'missing information' but her requirements include a daily log of her job searching and also the requirement to apply for 3 full-time postions weekly!

The advisor wasn't aware of her 'working environment' and suggested areas that are just not viable for her and where we live 'full-time' employment availability finished years ago ... totally useless!

Needless to say, Mrs DL has also declined the kind offer of JSA ... something that both of us have contributed to for over 45 years indirectly!

Life will just become more austere, but both of us will still continue to seek part-time employment, when it becomes available but until then ... hey ho, whatever will happen will happen.

Happy 4th of July everybody. Can you believe it was just 17 years ago when Will Smith and Jeff Goldblum repelled an alien invasion with malware and saved the Earth. RIP Randy Quaid.

and using a Mac, at that!

Busy again at work today but this time no meetings with anyone in the US for obvious reasons. Still didn't mean that I got a full lunch break, though. That's every day this week I've had to work through all or some of my lunch. Food is important!

Morning all.

Dull but dry here but supposedly for the next 2 weeks we're all going to have a heatwave with temperatures up to 33 degrees. Get the suncream out!

Another one of those hectic days with 15 minutes for lunch before rushing back to another meeting. I suppose that was 15 minutes more than yesterday, at least.

Waiting to find out if my eldest wants to go to drama, she has a temperature and isn't feeling that well but doesn't want to miss it.

Carlsberg don't make the most disgusting substance on earth but if they did it would probably be the greatest most disgusting substance on earth.

Afternoon all.

Lovely day here after rain all night so I've managed to get the front hedge cut which had been on my "to do" list far too long!

Yes...
...Cos I can't imagine that your feeling ill has anything to do with haggis and chips followed by a moshpit...;-)
