Morning. Car in for MOT today, hope it passes!

Last night for a matter of interest, I put on the old "Demo 1" CD that came with the original PlayStation, as a warm up for the PS4 coming out. I was amazed that I could actually remember the music and odd seashell designs. Come to think of it, Demo 1 is the only place I've ever seen/played "Kula World"!

Anyway, time for me to give the car a quick vacuum I think, then in to the garage for 10.30!

My favourite demo is the first demo disc that came with the first batch of Playstations, the one with the Dinosaur and Manta Ray on. At the time, I must have watched that Manta Ray one over and over because it was so amazing to see a console do that. Here is a video of someone playing the PS1 demo on the PS3.

Ha, that's a brilliant nostalgic video, I love it! I can always remember the first ever time I saw and heard the PS1 "loading" from the disk drive (on demo 1) As a first optical based system, I was constantly aware that there was a disc spinning inside, unlike all of the previous cart based systems.

Anyway, I'm contemplating doing some early Xmas shopping today....or maybe not...

Morning.

Managed to miss 2 alarms and wake up just 25 minutes before my bus was due. Somehow still managed to get dressed, packed, grab lunch and get out the door in time for the bus. I was pretty impressed with myself, though now I'm knackered and still haven't had enough sleep.

I am having difficulty on uploading more images to www.johnward-art.com this morning. Is there any Freeola reason for this?

Hi and welcome to the forums!
I see you are using an InstantPro site - I've just tested an image upload on my InstantPro site and it worked fine.

Are you still getting the problem and if so what errors are you seeing?

Morning.

I don't think they should be allowed full rights to sport. Highlights should be made available to everyone (ie Freeview channels) after a set time limit. It works for F1 (though, obviously, I prefer live coverage) and worked for Football for years. How one company could be allowed to take over a sport with no highlights available to everyone else is beyond me. This 'right to watch' should be protected by law IMO.

@pete ... BT have paid £897m for 3 yrs from 2015, but since their 6 month pre-tax profit reported in August this year was £948m ... it doesn't really seem to matter as BT have already covered their 'outlay' and have another 3 years to make 'profit' on the 'promise of great things to come'!

That is some serious profit there DL, presume that is from their entire business though not just BT Sport? It's well known they have outbid the likes of SKY, BBC & Eurosport for the likes of the Champions League, Premiership matches, MotoGP etc. and ensured they have exclusive rights to these (in most cases rivals are not even getting to show highlights or delayed coverage). Seems unlikely to me that they plan to 'give' this away with likes of a £10 a month basic internet package long term. I suspect they intend to get as many people signed up as possible over the next year or so and then fleece them and it'll probably work. What about us BT wholesale customers?, why are we not eligible for all of this lovely free sport? A few of my mates have' jailbroken' streaming devices, they watch everything and pay for nothing. These devices are not illegal and you can get them for under £100 on eBay.

Early morning news pete that ... but had to come. The revenue that BT have racked up since August is mind-blowing....

But how long will this free sports malarkey actually stay free for...a year...2 perhaps? Once everyone is signed up with them they are clearly going to get well screwed over. The £900m or so they allegedly paid for the Champions League is going to take some getting back. Unless of course they manage to sell shedloads of 'call blocking' phones!
