Nope, bring it on.

I'm hoping these reported problems with the PS4 don't turn out to be widespread. Hearing about all the blue lights etc is making me nervous for my existing pre-order! Hopefully it's just normal launch day hiccups and nothing more.

I wouldn't take too much notice, a lot of it is likely Xbox fanboyism from unverified buyers. There were a few early machines that went out before launch day and crashed because the updates weren't available, some that came from Amazon poorly packaged and damaged and some people had a HDMI incompatibility issue.

I have an eclectic taste, which includes 'noisy' music and the odd 'pop tune' as well. My eldest has just started getting in to music, so I end up hearing a lot of pop stuff at the moment. It's the same as it ever was; some good, some bad and some that defy explanation. Certainly no worse than the 70s or 80s, anyway, just less soft rock and new romantic (and all the worse for that!).

I sold my MW3 for £25 after about 3/4 months. I was more than happy with that.

Sylosis were superb as always, understand they are are not everyone's cup of tea but they are one of the very best bands in their genre IMHO. There was only about 300 people (if that) at the very small venue they played last night and it is literally a few miles from where I live. They were supported by a band I had never heard of called Bovine who were a huge surprise, wouldn't class them as metal really they were a bit like Queens Of The Stone Age grunge rock kind of thing, anyway they were shockingly good. We bumped into them after the gig, they were really nice lads too!

pb, you have to catch some bands at some point, it's must do (obviously pick stuff you like not the noisy nonsense I listen to!).

Well, COD Ghosts has now gone towards the trade in for PS4. Not long now till Xbox One and PS4 launch.

COD games are famous for holding their price second hand but reckon this one is going to be the exception to the rule. Reckon this half assed by the numbers effort is going to delay some from jumping to the next gen consoles TBH. Regardless of what some think of the series in general it is a massive seller and the largely negative reaction to Ghosts has to have some effect on some who were unsure whether they were going to upgrade to one of the new consoles at launch. Noticed on my friends list for the last couple of nights that there where still more people playing Black Ops 2 than any other title (by a quite surprising margin) so I dusted off my copy and decided to join them. I was unbelievably rubbish as I hadn't played it for a while but we still had fun.

Off to see Sylosis tonight, been well looking forward to that.

Well they were until Modern Warfare 3. That held its price for a few weeks then dropped quicker than a downed chopper.

Since then Black Ops 2 didn't keep its price and I'm guessing Ghosts will be even quicker to fall. Might get it later on a next gen console if I find it cheap.

Hope you enjoy Sylosis. I've never been to a concert/gig before, unless you count Radio 1 roadshows.

Oh, and just played a few sections of the campaign on Ghosts last night. I can see what everyone means. I may just get rid of it before it goes down in price then pick it up later. It was given to me, anyway.

Has this 'title' finally run its course ... Call of Duty, Game of the Year 2003:

"...is the best single-player first person shooter on release ... 94% PCZONE"

"...the most intense WWII Shooter ever! ... 91% PCGamer"

Strange how much the early games were so eagerly awaited and now it would seem the 'soup' has curdled!
