Today I did a run to the dump/recycling centre to get rid of garden and electrical stuff. I still need to clear the garage, there's an old philips 5-CD changer stereo in there to throw away along with probably several cars worth of stuff.
Then walked (or, more accurately, ran) the dog before a lovely roast dinner thanks to Tesco post-Christmas cheap frozen food, then played Game of Life with the kids. It's a very different version of the game than the one I remember playing when I was younger.
Just bathed the dog and kids are next in line. Youngest is a but ill, though, with a temperature so probably have to work from home tomorrow.
@pb ... fence repaired :¬) Father-in-law ... not quite so easy ;¬) Took him 3 attempts within an hour to know who I was, finally recognized me and the work I was doing and then promptly decided that me and Mrs DL shouldn't be there! Such is life.
Still mother-in-law is happy and now planning to have a 'little drinks evening' for his 90th birthday late August this year ... flight of fancy me thinks :¬D
My father is 90 in March and I think a firing squad would be good guests at such an event ...

So, er, hi.
Seems a bit empty around these parts the last few days.
What's everyone up to?
Whatever they're doing ... they're not here pb ... as I said earlier this week ;¬)
Me, us ... granddaughter all week and now I'm informed that I'm off to Sheffield tomorrow to repair a fence! Can I never get a good nights sleep before I die!
;¬)
Good luck with that, hope it doesn't take too long. Our bamboo fence has fallen down in the wind over Christmas and I've yet to have enough time to put it up.
To be honest, it needs replacing as some of it is rotting a little, but I can't afford it, so a patch-up job will have to do for now.

Money is getting desperate again, just when I thought it was a bit nearer to being under control. I guess the emergency flights didn't help. Still trying to figure out what to do about it all. I can't borrow more and I've got more going out than coming in, but I desperately need to pay something off before I go into my overdraft and over my credit card limit.
I'm already selling a load of games and stuff.
Welcome back Emmie, I won 1 GAD last year, I expect that number to decrease dramatically now you're back!
Anyone been watching that Guy Martin programme on CH4? It's awesome, well worth catching (presume it's on 4oD?). I think he's great, even if he is as mad as a box of frogs.
Hows the site been? busy, many of the people still kicking about?
Hi Emmie ... nice to see you back :¬)
Site has been .... empt to put it bluntly ... apart from an occasional 'ruffling' of feathers
