Just changed my avatar image and Freeola's message suggested that I hadn't done whatever it wanted and 'highlighted in red' ... no highlights boys ... fail again ;¬)
EDIT: Now that has got to be the quickest 'avatar' change ever!!! Well done Freeola Boys

I may get it checked out if the pain continues.
Everything else seems to calming down a little after the nightmare during Christmas, though money is still a big worry.
How about you, DL?
Life seems to 'jog' along at the same pace, all day and every day, no day is ever different from the one before. I long to go to work but Mrs DL is glad she was made redundant ... it's only 6 months ago now, so maybe she'll change her tune ;¬)
Millie is my 'lifeline'. We go out everyday, weather permitting, and as she's been walking for the last few months, the park is more exciting for both of us.
What is left of my family is becoming a burden and will soon need to be seriously addressed ... I've just begun Power of Attorney discussions as it will be required sooner rather than later!
As a result ... even though I long to 'go to work' ... people expect me to be available 24/7 with no regard to my personal time ... and so I'm 'shafted'. Millie, I look forward to, but the rest can ..... ;¬)[/i]
Sounds like you need to make them understand that your time is important too. Hope you can find a way to solve that, but certainly working part time even could improve the situation. It's a case of having to sometimes not be there and let other people work out that you're not always around. Sometimes charities need an extra hand if they have an office near by, usually pay a small amount for some office work, sorting letters etc, I worked for ActionAid part time for a while in their office and then they found me a full time position for a time. It was certainly interesting seeing how the charity worked from the inside.

Morning.
Managed to do something to my back yesterday and now it really hurts. Not great and means another day working from home.
How's things pb ... apart from the back!?
I had back pain for nearly 30 years and then it was correctly diagnosed as a 'slipped disc'! The consultant discovered that the bottom three vertabrae were shattered but sorted the fourth disc there and then. The disc in question was slipping out and then back in again which was causing the problem. Solution was to shrink the disc and now 'job's a gud'un'. I still get the odd twinge in the same area but nothin as severe as it was. Get it checked out now while you're still young.

This has actually made me want to go back and watch the excellent Jeremy Brett series again. I loved watching those when they were on TV and it was the most authentic Holmes ever.
Now I've got to avoid Twitter until I've seen the last Sherlock. For some reason it failed to record yesterday, so I need to watch on iPlayer today.
A bit hectic then pb ... by the way, how's the wife?
Better than last week, but obviously still going to take a lot of time. It's all ups and downs at the moment.
