Eldest son has now been admitted and, as I post, is within the 'pre-op procedure'! He's been shaved, head to toe and prepared for other things. He's been advised to have a sleeping pill tonight as he's Numero Uno on the table at 8.30am tomorrow. We've been advised to be back at the hospital by 7.30am to 'see him off' so to speak!
Knowing what's got to be done, the waiting is just getting harder by the minute:¬(
Coffee seemed to do the trick and felt more awake on the drive back than on the way there. Now the fun really starts. 2 girls, a dog and a guinea pig to look after for the week and only an hour and a half sleep so far.
I'm currently drinking strong coffee to prepare for the return journey back down the M5
Hope there are no more delays, DL.
He's booked in for 3pm tomorrow, but we still have to ring to confirm his bed at 12 noon! All being well, his op will start 1st or 2nd Thursday morning for 4 hours ... just can't believe what to think right now :¬(
Do hope Mrs pb's flight is ok.
Oh and by the way, Happy Mid-Summer's Day to one and all
Talking of delays, I'm hoping everything goes ok with my wife's flight to Spain early tomorrow. No sign of a delay yet, but these French Air Traffic Control strikes are messing up schedules.
Everything seems to be going well at the moment, fingers crossed, as eldest son's heart surgery is still on for tomorrow. Then the waiting begins!!
PB, just you make sure the weather stays nice for the end of the week. As the schools are on the brink of breaking up for the summer here, the standard summer holiday weather has kicked in this morning.
I think age is catching up with me. I've been taking my daughter to the park the last few evenings and the big kid in me ensures I have a shot of most things. I am however finding that I'm coming away a little queasy now.
Hmm. According to the weather report, you may be out of luck. Devon seems to be turning towards the dark side at the end of the week.

Steam sale isn't as good as previous years, though that may be partly down to me owning most things I'm interested in.
LEGO games are all on offer at the moment, though.
Anyway, another lovely morning and another busy time for me trying to get sorted before the wife goes away.
