I've had a busy day, not exactly the best one, either and tomorrow may be tricky, too.

Morning all ... just!

Thanks pete, hopefully today's visit will see an improvement in his blood pressure. Once he is discharged though, he'll have a doctor's note for 3 months!

That's really good news DL, obviously recovery from any procedure of that kind is going to take time.

If anyone's interested Metallica's somewhat controversial Glastonbury headlining set is to be shown live in full on BBC 2 tonight, starts 21.45. My Mrs. is simply elated about this...

Son is now out of ICU and on a ward! He can now have his mobile and his own clothes to wear ... eventually! Most drains have been removed and it is these that are now causing him pain. Other than that, his non-functional heart valve has been repaired and the other one has had surgery to 'balance' the heart. His blood pressure is steady, but he still has a PACE unit monitoring this. He has eaten well today but is extremely weak ... took us all on to get him from a chair by his bed into his bed!! Thankfully the worst is over. He's shattered, we're shattered and I think that my car must feel the same ... a round trip of 40 miles every visit. Never mind.

Oh and ... evening all, hope the children, dog and guinea pig are behaving pb ;¬)

Morning all ...

Spoke with the nurses in ICU early this morning. Son had a good night and could be moved onto a ward this afternoon. However his blood pressure is low and is being monitored. His breathing tube has been removed and we managed to speak with him on the telephone. We shall call again at midday for an update. Things are looking better though.

I decided to do the weekly shopping after dropping the kids off at school, thinking it would be quiet. No such luck. Still, all done now and hopefully I don't have to go back for a few days.

Son is now in ICU and still heavily sedated. The operation and recovery seem to have been longer than expected. At least he's in ICU and under care. Mrs DL and Number 2 son will be returning within the hour, so more news to follow.

Thanks all, just back from the Hospital. Saw him off in theatre about 8.30am ... just waiting now before we call at 2pm.

Fingers crossed for your son that it all goes smoothly now that he's finally there, DL.

I got up early to put out the recycling and bin, feed the dog and guinea pig and water the plants before the kids got up and then focus on them. Unfortunately didn't get around to the plants part, but it looks like it might be overcast so I can water them later.
