Hope you've managed to get some news on your father-in-law now, DL.
Kids don't look like they're getting up any time soon, but we're supposed to be up and out this morning. I don't really have the energy to get them up at the moment and I'm enjoying the peace....so....
Now waiting for some Chorizo Pasta to finish cooking (courtesy of my wife).
Evening pb ... now that sounds worth waiting for ;¬)
We're just waiting for info re: father-in-law! Mrs DL's mother has been 'off the map' all day, which is strange and we can't contact anyone else.
Just come back from taking the girls swimming. Feel like i swallowed half the swimming pool, but it's my fault for doing somersaults and piggy backs in the water, I guess! All in the name of entertainment.
It's the first proper holiday thing we've done this summer, but hopefully I can follow it up with a trip to Pennywell Farm tomorrow if the weather is good.

I always describe my job as a circus where the clowns are running the show. And this week has been no different.
I was given a new spec to work from. I am most of the way through it when it transpires that my so-called team leader has given me the wrong version of the spec. The revised spec is somewhat and appears to have doubled in required effort. The time estimated versus actual time is a very important factor to management but the time against this spec is based on the first edition i.e. half the amount needed. It is too late to change these figures as the customer has been quoted and it has been signed off, it's all set in stone now.
Another shambles at the circus.
Afternoon.
Not even managed to do much in the way of DIY.
Don't look to hard pb, DIY has a habit of catching you unawares ;¬)
Half way through my week off and I've barely done anything exciting or been out anywhere. Not even managed to do much in the way of DIY.
We've still got 2 weeks left. I'm 'on holiday' this week. My summer holiday consists of doing stuff in the garden, DIY and going to the dump. I'm going to need a long break at Christmas.
Sounds just like my 'holidays' pb ... exciting isn't it ;¬)
the schools are back today and my daughter had the added bonus of the kittens trying to help her get ready. I removed myself from the chaos and went to work.
