DL - You should present him with your own book of 'Dos and Don'ts' as a replacement. A book for living under your roof.
A better question might be why is he taking multiple long showers a mere 6 weeks after heart surgery? The risks are minimal but why take any at all!
Excellent question Garin but I've no answer ... except his 'book' of Do's and Don'ts has disappeared now he's been discharged! I do remember that he shouldn't lift anything that isn't balanced ie balanced between left and right and only a total of 5lbs on each side! He shouldn't use a mobile (one handed), lift a kettle(one handed) and the list went on, He shouldn't drive a car until after the 6 wks and only if discomfort isn't felt.
It isn't the 'heart surgery' itself, but because his sternum has been split assunder and rejoined with 'wires'. It needs to heal and the time factor and 'activities' suggested are there to help this procedure!
At what point do you give up?
OK eldest son has just had major heart surgery, 6 wks ago, and has now been discharged to the next tier of consultants. He's now got another 'sick note' for 6 wks. If he is doing nothing and paying nothing, why does he have two 'long showers' a day? He can't be 'unclean' ... just pixxes me off!
I'm bothered about our 'energy bill' but nobody here seems worried! They wouldn't ... I pay it and my income is zero! Mrs DL, who loves her first born, can't see a problem!

I don't think next week was probably the right choice of week to have off work judging by the weather. Oh well.
