Might give it a try, pb.

One reason why I asked, was recently Zone Alarm got on my wires with its antics so I uninstalled it and replaced it with MS Security Essentials. Fine, no problems until yesterday when Firefox took ages to start. Looked for help, reset Firefox and even installed a fresh copy, all to no avail. It's just struck me that Windows Firewall might be the problem and sure enough, Firefox had to be added to its exception list! Launches immediately now :¬)

Not tried, but I'm sure you can. I think it asks you when you first install as well. I just find chrome works across all my machines, remembers my browser history and bookmarks across them all if I'm signed in with gmail and passwords if I let it.

Can't find it there either. Can I transfer bookmarks to Chrome from Firefox?

Edit: Just found it in Options/Advanced/Check my spelling as I type. Success .... no more zig-zag lines :¬)

Should be in Tools>add-ons. I tend to prefer Chrome to Firefox these days, mind you.

I realised that about an hour after I turned off the PC, but on investigation I can't find any sign of a 'spell checker' in Firefox and the 'checking' is still there.

Apparently, my average monthly download usage is 323.07 GB. That's pretty good going considering I don't use torrents or anything and just use iTunes, movie streaming and iPlayer a lot.

Wish I could break this down in to individual services, though.

Morning all.

Still trying to get my head around the first morning back at work. Coffee isn't really helping much as I read through a few hundred emails and work out what to do next.

... more like 'urbane' myth :¬)

By the way, why has a 'rubbish spell checker' arrived on Freeola Forum?

It's done it again ... Freeola is underlined with a red zig-zag line!!!

Think that's an urban myth, though.
