Interestingly both German and the owners of both make up the top three richest men In Germany
... and interestingly, there once was a rumour that suggested that Aldi's owner's wife, following their divorce, began Lidl. Well I never ;¬)
Probably both the same wine.
Sorry pb, I intended to imply that both stores each provide a good selection of red wines at affordable prices ... probably because both stores are European based.
More garden shopping today, decking stain this time.
LIDLs South African red wine for under £4 turns out to be quite nice and also about 14.5% too.
That sounds a bit extravagant, I was drinking some £3.49 variety from Aldi this weekend. They all taste the same to me.

Pennywell farm was great the other day. Today looks like rain pretty much all day, so no visits to family attractions for us.
That's pretty bad, DL. Sounds like investigations need to be made or, at least, questions need to be answered as to how it got to that stage.
Just waiting for the Tesco delivery driver to get here and deliver our weekly shop. Still got free deliveries for another week or so, so making use of it. personally, I prefer to shop for stuff myself, but we're saving a bit of money this way.
Father-in-law has now had his hip totally removed! Original and replacement! Apparently, he may have a 'limp' now!!!
I'm no medic, but excuse me, if you haven't got a hip you've surely got more problems than a 'limp'! Like, you fall over more often springs to mind, for a start!
Major surgery, 3 times in a month caused this decision to be made.
Morning.
Hope you've managed to get some news on your father-in-law now, DL.
Morning ... just
The news is still sketchy at the moment. A few days ago, father-in-law dislocted his new 'hip', but they managed to manipulate it back under anesthetic. However, things haven't worked out as expected. So decisions had to be made ... replace the 'new' half hip with a full hip, try to repair the existing one or replace both hips. However, it seems that they are worried about him having more anesthetic at his age ... so it is in the balance.
