a nice quiet weekend ahead with the family being away. Booked my ticket to see Spider-man. I had wanted to see it when we were on holiday but I got out voted 2 against 1 so we went to see Despicable Me 3 instead.
That's my working week done, so now it's cricket, rugby, tennis, F1, and horse racing.
Plus a few beers of course!
Nice day here, not too warm but it's dry. Just having a break from finishing off my work for the week, hopefully I'll be finished by mid-afternoon so I can watch the cricket and tennis later on.

Haha ... blame the wife ;¬)
Daughter-in-law's was that bad that we also had to do the school run this morning! It had gone a 'strange purple' colour!
However, all was sorted by the time 'school Sports Day' took place this afternoon! Luckily I was back at work, but Nannie went and thankfully there wasn't a Grandma's Race :¬D
Good news is that my granddaughter's team won the day and my son, her Daddy, won the Dad's Race ... well chuffed :¬)
Had my youngest's one last week, last one before she goes to big school. I didn't come last in the dad's race, which is as good as a win in my book (especially given the fact some of the dads were half my age and looked like they were in the army - probably were)
My boss has been over all week from the US as we've been having a workshop between several teams, it's been quite productive. Luckily, I have a good boss.

heh. Some people. I remember colouring my hair once, with the wife's help, and it went sort of pink (not, in fact, the colour I was going for). I just went with it.

Been to see some friends in Stockport for the last few days, it was nice to catch up with them and see how they've been.

Evening all ...
Beautiful day in the Yard today ... sunny and warm. Yesterday was a nightmare ... heavy yard coats and rain like no tomorrow ... water flowing down your neck type of rain, but warm!
Got a call this afternoon from daughter-in-law to pick up granddaughter. No probs ... but why? She'd just had her hair coloured and it had turned out to be a disaster and she couldn't face the school run...:¬D
It's good that grandparents are so accommodating ;¬)

back to work today after 8 days off. All went too fast for my liking though and starting to feel like I was never away.
Got the house to myself for a couple of weeks now so I have started the process of catching up on all my TV recordings which I never get round to watching.
Been a busy start to the week and it looks like it's going to be just as busy the rest of it, but I've stopped in to say hello.
Hope everyone is doing well and doesn't get too much rain today. Not started raining here yet but the weather says it's due to.
