With that I have to agree pb ... glad I left the 'game' in 1997, I'd had enough , as it turned out, of Government intervention in a job I loved and children's education was becoming too regimented and prescribed ...

Evening all ...
Another glorious day in the Yard but far too hot to do any work ... ridiculous temperatures when working in a van! Glad to be home but it's still 'banging' it down now at 8pm!
There have been one or two posts about ... nothing but the weather in General Discussion. OK, fair point but the weather has been somewhat erratic over the last few weeks and as posts have shown 'weather forecasts' are invariably incorrect!
So ... let's talk about the weather and other things ... for example ... my granddaughter today has been told her 'new class' for the new academic year, the school term finishes next Friday. My daughter-in-law is 'not impressed' along with other parents. My granddaughter doesn't give a monkeys. I'll leave it with you ...

Last day of holiday today and another trip to the beach. Daughter had me in the sea - darned cold to me but not for her it seems.
It was unbelievably hot and humid here during the night, got about 4 hours sleep if that. The thunderstorms didn't arrive to cool things down but apparently some places round here got 3-4cm of rain yesterday.

Sun, blue skies, temperature mid 20's, and a nice breeze here, but supposed to be thunderstorms later on.
A busy week so far of re-arranging stuff from the girls room (it's amazing how much of the rest of the house has been filled with stuff that originally came out of their single room) and working.
The room is now looking great with much more space in it for them and a desk for my eldest to use her laptop, but my body feels pain from taking stuff apart and building the bed over the weekend, moving furniture and carrying heavy boxes.
The weather looks like it'll be hot today, too, which is great except I'm in the study at home where the light heats the small room up very quickly. Fans on full blast, then.
