Evening pb and all ...

Suspected that front pad/s sticking on car during the last week so dropped it off early this morning. Sure enough ... new pads and discs ... £145. Not a problem.

Last change was 5yrs and 1month ago and cost £186. My Service Manager was amazed ... 43,000 miles and it was only one 'strangely' worn pad.

However, next call from Steve (the mechanic) ... changed everything, test drive and still a cylinder is sticking! New calipers required ... carry on Steve, it has to be done.

We won't charge you for labour ... nice people at my local Ford garage, seeing as our family have known them and their families for 30 years.

Final bill £199.96 ... job's a gud'un. One happy DL and one even happier Mrs DL because (a) she didn't pay for it and (b) she feels safer on the roads now ... (even though it wasn't really a serious problem at the time)

So life is all good ;¬) ...

Visiting my dad's house tomorrow morning for final clearance and final skip removal.

I've also had an email from the Crem about the return of my mother and father's memorial stone ... so that's the next job ... gardening haha :¬D

Morning.

So that's 4 hours of sleep last night then. I should really learn from this and go to bed early, but...

Just sitting in my study holding a wet dog after giving her a bath. She's all wrapped in towels.

Managed to do a video of my upgrade to 2TB on PS4 to help others out. Mainly to show how easy it is and how cheap using an external drive's inards can be. Check it out here and let me know what you think.

Next task; work out what graphics card I need for my next PC upgrade. Currently on a 7750 (1Gb DDR5)

Evening. Well today went fast!

Half day today so I could take my kids round to their freind's house. I spent the afternoon learning how to play Heroclix, a role playing board game with Super-heroes. Pretty good (if complicated) and I managed to win on my first game (beginners luck).

And you feel shattered!

Yet another morning here filling yet another skip in the rain!! That's twice this week ... thanks dad for all your 'crap'!

House is now empty except for furniture to be collected by family and charity stuff has been boxed for them to collect next Tuesday.

Such a relief ... but such a load of 'crap' ... 1 x 8yd builders skip for scrap metal and 2 x 14yd large builders skip (these are big!!!).

Met the buyer today and he was amazed at the 'transformation' to the property!

Not a problem ... let's just exchange contracts and than I can get on with my life and have a 'beach holiday' to celebrate ;¬)

Morning.

Stomach ache kept me awake last night, there's always something, so yet again I'm fighting off lack of sleep at work today.

If it doesn't have a £ in front then it's pence.

Evening all ... how was the sandwich pb?

House clearance again tomorrow but that should be it ... another £240 skip!

Got to deal with some shares that my father and mother had. How does the Stock Market display 'share value'?

Today this company's shares had a high of 30.00 and a low of 29.15. Is this pounds or pence? I suspect the latter ;¬)
