This is the thread for general chat.

Tell us how your day was, say hello or just introduce yourself if you're new to the site.

Farming update:

The sheep thought I was the man with the food again today. Clearly my chat with them yesterday was pointless. But they didn't have to wait long, the little tractor thing with the food arrived a minute or so after me and I am well impressed at how quickly sheep can move when there is food to be devoured.

Urgh! Starting the day with a sore throat. Not the best way.

I'd do the school run but it looks as if no-one is ready to go.

Sometimes.

Lives seem to get in the way, though.

Perhaps they thought he was a swede!

Afternoon all ... Me and Mrs DL have just returned from giving my dad's house its final clean ... Mrs DL has to leave it tidy! Now looking forward to completion on Friday.

On other mundane matters, now going to print directions to the funeral in Bedford tomorrow :¬(

I had an interesting start to my day at work. I parked the car and turned round to see 50+ sheep and lambs all heading in my direction and shouting at me (they tone made it sound like a demanding shout).

I guess they thought I was the turnip man, they seem to get turnips most days.[/i]

Morning.

What's going on, people? Do you not lead exciting lives that you need to express on this forum?

My highlight of yesterday was a free Greggs sandwich and some 'bargains' in poundland (ie less than £1). I'm sure if today gets more exciting I'll end up with a heart attack. It's just one wild ride.

This forum doesn't get enough traffic as it is, chat away DL :)

I don't blame you for going as powerful as you can, you deserve it after the time you've had recently.

My laptop isn't going to be replaced any time soon but it's not exactly a gaming powerhouse (i7-4700MQ and a 740M 2GB card) and my desktop is cobbled together from bits of others, but it plays most things ok at the moment, just not at top or even high settings on some games.

Anyway, later in today as I had to wait around to see if my eldest was well enough for school, she had a temperature and wasn't feeling well last night but seems ok today. These days the schools won't let them stay in if they look too ill, they'd rather make the kids go home. I guess part of that is that there are so many children with things like leukemia in schools these days, plus illness travels fast in a classroom.

So went in on the later bus and we got caught in traffic, plus had a guy with a staffie who was very polite but smelt a bit and my stomach was churning by the time I left the bus. I was glad for the fresh air!

I'll only get shouted down by the "elite crowd" of PC owners/ builders for saying this, but going by the multitude of forum posts on games like Far Cry 4, AC Unity, Dying Light etc. My little AMD Piledriver FX4300 processor and HD7850 2Gb graphics card are completely wiping the floor with i7's and NVidia cards at the moment.
And the FX4300 is under £60 at the moment on Overclockers...

Haha ... maybe the case chas but my present machine has stood me in good stead since 2009! This will be my last machine ... so future-proofing as much as I can based upon my last set-up!

EDIT: I know, I know ... it's the wrong forum Hmmm but it just happens sometimes ;¬)
