Morning.

Well that was certainly a hot day, if anything I got too much sun walking my dog while waiting for my eldest to finish swimming. Fortunately, though both my kids swimming lessons were moved to Sunday and were both at different times, meaning the whole day out, my eldest had her lesson near the quay, so I could walk the dog along there and take in the sun and even stop for a pot of tea.

Here we are at the quay . Well, my dog, anyway.

More fencing done in the morning, this time adding Bamboo screening to the front of the trellis. Just the other side to work out what to do with now.

Well ... the longest day is upon us and still running ... lovely weather here, but rain is forecast for tomorrow! Got to be the usual downhill slide to Autumn. Just where have the summers I remembered as a child gone? Global warming and old age I think ;¬)

Enjoy the rest of your longest day all ...

Evening all ...

Longest day tomorrow, 21st June swiftly follwed by Midsummer Day, 24th June (my mother's birthday, if she was still with us!).

Hasn't the Summer gone quickly! Night's drawing in as from tomorrow, usually 2 mins for each day, so soon be ... well let's not go there just yet ;¬)

Daughter-in-laws new kitchen has been the subject of my attention during the last two days and it's now ready to go!

Here, at Chateau DL, decorating has also continued ... got a day off on Thursday ... a funeral in Nantwich! Not been to Nantwich for over 35 years, so may have to refresh my memory with AA RouteFinder!

I do know it'll be a 5 hour round trip though! Happy days ... should be the last one for a while, funeral that is ;¬)

Morning.

My task this week, to not buy anything from the Steam sale, seems to be working at the moment, though I was sorely tempted by Elite at £10 off.

Morning.

Yes, somewhere warm with a swimming pool would do me, too. Long time since I've done that (last time I went to a hotel or villa with a pool was 2000 for our honeymoon). No holiday in the last 3 years, though, and doesn't look like we'll have one this year, either.

And so do I! Granddaughter day today and also ... assisting a 'sparky' for three hours at her parents house, then fitting a door, clearing the rubbish and making tea as Mrs DL took my little Princess back to 'a habitable home' again!

Got a tap to do tomorrow as well!

Just why do your children do this to you? ;¬)

I need some R & R ... big time ... like 'toe dipping' in the gently lapping waves on a Mediterranean island's beach just about now ... bliss :¬)

E3 is rolling along nicely. Nintendo next up. Hopefully I'll get home in time.

Morning,

another spot of tennis at the weekend. It seems to disagree with my back but perhaps I need to work on my positioning so I'm not over stretching to reach a shot. Or perhaps my wife and daughter should hit it closer to me!

Morning,

A little bit annoyed that my bus left 2 minutes early...without me. Now on another bus that leaves a couple of minutes later but takes an extra 20 minutes and tends to be a bit bumpier.
