Hands still feel like they're vibrating from using the hammer drill today. Well, 2 hammer drills. The first Black and Decker one was losing the drill bit all the time and just not making any impact, so off to get a new drill bit from B&Q, came back with a new drill too as there was a more powerful Bosch one on offer. Needless to say, did the job far better.

So brackets in outside wall, brackets in wooden fence and two specially cut (by my wife) trellises to use as an extension to our fence to make it taller. Then next week I'll try to get time to attach rolls of Bamboo to them too. Other side of the patio could be trickier, mind you, but I'm working on that.

Now helping my wife groom the dog after her bath (and waiting for my jeans to dry after holding the dog on my lap in towels). Exciting life we lead, this!

Afternoon all ...

Well, another 5 hours 'decorating', tea is made and ready to go, just thought I deserved a 'sit down'!

Good news, the tap valve was faulty so a replacement will arrive on Thursday!!

So that's a replacement door arriving Wednesday and a tap on Thursday ... from the same supplier? Seems daft to me, but that's technology for you ;¬)

Weather was lovely and sunny this morning, but rather dim and dark at the moment.

Enjoy the rest of the day ... :¬)

Evening all ...

Poor day weather wise here ... but seems to be on the mend now:¬)

New kitchen has now been installed at daughter-in-laws, but now we're finding 'teething problems' ... don't they always happen at the weekend! Luckily, the contact I spoke with this morning did call me back this afternoon and he will be available tomorrow ... bonus!

Morning.

Sunny out there today. Wonder if we'll get the thunderstorms later that we are being warned about? Haven't had a good storm in ages.

Afternoon.

Sad news, Sir Christopher Lee has died. I guess it was inevitable given his age, but still...

For the last two days have become Site Manager for the daughter-in-law's new kitchen installation and granddaughter's baby sitter :¬)

This situation will probably run until Friday.

Site Manager duties include looking over the installation (with no prior input from the recipients), opening up and collecting granddaughter, visiting the site to get 'new' requests from installers and then locking up. Tea is then provided at my house for the 'family' and then it starts again.

Tomorrow ... I'm letting the installers in and doing the nursery run, then back to check requirements ... and then back to lock up.

Such is modern life!

I'm still trying to finish paper hanging our hallway :¬)
