Well done Alfonse.

As for job ideas, there's this guy who goes around with a sandwich board advertising beds...

I'm looking for a new job, throw out some suggestions guys! I tried to become an escort but no-one in Brighton could afford me.

EDIT: I've also recently passed my 6 year mark on here. That's my entire duration of being a teenager.

It's a good point DL. To be honest, my diet has needed changing for the last so many years, it's just a case of me not wanting to.

Thoughts are with you pb....but your health has got to take precedent over all else!

I tried the 'sweep it to the back, too many other things to do' scenario and ended up very ill for 5 years! Try and apportion a little more time towards yourself....in my 'experience' the things that you believe 'should be dealt with as of number one importance' usually get done regardless of the input that you might have given....if you see what I mean :¬)

Finally got my results back from my colonoscopy. Apparently they removed a carcinoid tumour. Nice.

Good news is that they managed to get the whole tumour out, bad news is that there's some chance of there being more. I need to go back to the hospital to have a chat with the specialists.

Cancer would be very inconvenient at this stage, I've got enough to deal with.

Morning.

Very tired and bad cold but crawled in to work. Don't really know why.

@Machie - glad to hear you managed to avoid the worst of the damage where you were. Still sounds hairy though. Good luck with it all.

Glad to hear that your are (relatively) unscathed Machie. Thanks to the rolling news programs over here we are constantly seeing videos of the wave hitting and the devastation caused in the aftermath, it really gives you the impression that this planet could get rid of us all if it really wanted to...

While the idea of an 'Earthquake text' did make me chuckle first time I read it, I'd wager it saved a fair few lives/injuries over the past few days.

Morning guys. We're still getting a hell of a lot of aftershocks and the last one a minute ago was quite strong (Magnitude 5). It's quite scary because they send you a special txt message just before it happens to warn you. So we all freak out when all our mobiles go off at once with a laser like alarm.

Today we will be losing electricity at certain times because of the explosions at the power plant as there's not enough for everyone. We have also been warned not to travel, but if we have to, we should wear a mask, hat and gloves to protect from any falling radiation (if any).

My fiancees sister and her husband live in a 14th floor apartment and their home was completely trashed. Everything was on the floor, even their new iMac with a huge crack in the screen. Our home was fine, just a few items on the floor.

I think it will be awhile before things go back to normal, but I think for a lot of people it can never go back to normal. :(
