Just got back from MCM Manchester. Had such a fantastic time. Right now checking everything I missed and reading (mostly deleting) new emails I have. Also...Happy first of August everybody!
Hope all is well.
Good news that the new refurbished Tesco has around 7 jobs available, so I've applied and can only hope for the best. They're like gold dust.
Still getting used to shorter hair after my wife decided to cut my long locks over the weekend. Not sure whether I'm keen on it, but necessary for India.
Going to be a busy week getting flights, training, hotel, finding a place for Guinea Pigs all sorted out. Will be sad to see the family go away for a long time too.
And yet another riverting day .... a rather muggy and humid morning so far. Contemplating, and only contemplating, putting another coat of paint on the bathroom ceiling .... oh the joy :¬)
I asked the sender but he refused to tell me, hell I even googled it and nothing came up.
Nice quiet morning with the kids still asleep.
I can hear one of them has just woken up now.
Lots of stuff to do today, so I'm savouring this time I have before it all kicks off.

pete, where about are you seated?
I'm block 115.
I was right on the edge of 114, where it joins 115 about half way up.
Thought Iron Maiden were awesome last night, best I've seen them in a long time. It was a good mixed up set of old and new stuff, there seemed to be something in the show for everyone. Did laugh at the smoke effects during Number Of The Beast though, it was just some dudes back stage letting off C02 fire extinguishers. It would appear that not even the mighty Maiden can totally escape the credit crunch! Thought Airbourne were dreadful, just seemed like an AC/DC tribute act to me (and I'm not a fan of those) and I couldn't make out a word their lead singer said. Some people by me seemed to be quite enjoying them so each to their own I suppose. What did you reckon to the evening Chris?
Enjoyed the latter half of the gig, seeing as I'm not very familiar with their new stuff. Once all the classics were played, everyone seemed to go nuts though.
Did not enjoy Airbourne at all. Was on my Blackberry for most of their set. One man band. They seemed to enjoy doing synchronised moves all the way through as well.
All in all, a pretty decent gig.
