Then come back and post about Arie Fleischer's blunder concerning Bush's visit to Ireland to discuss the peace process.
I may talk about the war, but it's a damn sight more important than "mi teacher mayde me stay late! discuss" or whatever else profundity you feel fit to espouse today.
And what really annoys me, what really makes me want to smack a few of you in the face is this:
Snuggly tried to do something about it, something to prevent the stupid cowman posts that are rising each day.
And what happened? People screamed him down bleating about exclusions and unfairness.
And I said then and I'll repeat it now:
Don't moan because you feel slighted at being called stupid.
Raise your game so you see what pointless feculance is vomited up here in an ever increasing amount.
I'm taking a couple of days off, going somewhere where stupid kids dont feel the need to tell everyone about every single pointless little detail of their lives in the vain thought that someone cares.
We dont.
Post something interesting, something personal. Something that took thought, time and intelligence.
And I can see the indignant bed-wetting that will follow. Deal with it.
I won't apologise for being intelligent and wishing to have a forum where that's the norm instead of being drowned under waves of childish gurning.
Why should I have to wade through rivers of rubbish, just because you feel you shouldn't be left out of every single post going.

It's a joke. Maybe 1 in 5 posts is anything serious, and the replies are almost immediately from stupid posters. What gives you the right to just post willy-nilly? When will you take a moment before wadging the keys with your big sausage fingers and think "Maybe I dont belong in this thread?"
I'm amazed Flanders hasn't prayed for the destruction of a lot of people when they try and engage in religious theorising.

Looking at the volume of responses I’m disheartened that no one has came up with another response. There are more than enough people complaining to change things by just posting quality topics themselves. Okay, I know in my last most I was being a little more laize-fair (to the point of doing nothing at all), but there’s a lot of good people here who I would hope still have the ability to crank out a good post. You get enough of those on the go and things can turn round quickly.
Never know, with the right encouragement some of the current spammers may surprise you.

Yep, it is annoying, maybe things will improve with out GAD 1 but i doubt it. Personally i blame the statistics section, word and post counts just encourage the spammers, i mean look at the top 100 at the moment, how many names there can you recognise as good posters how many have won a review or discussion GAD? not that many. The fact of the matter is most of them are just spamming there way to notoreity, they think that by being in the top 10 of the last 30 days everyone will respect them, but don't realise that they breed contempt by the rubbish they post. As far as i'm concerned those top poster lists for the last 30 days have to go as spammers just veiw them as an incentive. The top 100 could stay as most spammers wouldn't have the patience to spam 3500 posts. It would be a far more beneficial move to the forum and actually leave more dedicated posters as there is less short term benefit to new spammers, as GAD or top 100 charts would not be immediate benefits that they think they can get. Therefore the only thing to win is the freindship and respect of other posters.

I think this is perfect for stories, as long as they're not some crap about chimps taking over the world or something, in the story forum, no one botheres reading anything, in Life, at least you get some constructive critisism or people say which parts of the story are good, so instead of maybe one person quoting your whole post and saying 'nice storee', you get to see intelligent opinions that actually mean something.
